  • People still treating "Black Panther is mediocre" as some sacrilegous, unpopular opinion even though that was the general consensus among casual moviegoers and some MCU fans from the day it was released.

Its people getting too caught up in the hype and unable to sort through their feelings. The flipside happened with Last jedi. I think people forgot you can have a nuanced opinion about something. I can dislike the anime but still think it has some good ideas. SmH.

I'll just address it; it's because black people finally have a comic book hero to call our own with his own film with a large cast of black actors and actresses. Because of this, we hold BP as a golden ticket to latch onto. It's not something we get to see everyday. Plus it came out during Black History Month so that REALLY felt important.

I got my own thoughts on it; a little more down the middle then overly positive, but I love the culture and bravado it brings to the black community, even if some make it a bigger deal then what it really is.
Damn, Boku no Hero Academia latest episode is hype as hell! This show is most likely the best battle shonen anime, in my humble opinion.
I know this may seem weird, but I hope DMC V has real-time cutscenes instead of pre-rendered ones. I'm learning to appreciate the seamless transition between gameplay and cinematics in the new Spiderman videogame footage.

That said, I'd be cool if they did that as long as it doesn't interrupt the fights mid-gameplay like they did in DmC. It disrupts the flow of combat and gets in the way.

See, this is exactly why I would appreciate if the cutscene transition was seamless. Obviously I don't want the cutscenes to be incorporated as sloppily as they were in the prologue of DmC, but I think if they were managed correctly it could actually suit a game like DMC which is relentless and all about flow.

But my problem with that is that I don't want the controls be stripped away from me while I'm hackin' and slashin' around. No matter how smooth the transition can be, you're still interrupting gameplay by taking the controls away from me and initiating a cinematic. I'm not against this kind of transition at all but I want no cutscenes in any shape or form during fights. Do them before and/or after, but not during.

Mfw you get footage of the 11th Assassins Creed game but not even a speck of Splinter Cell. F#ck Ubisoft and their priorities!
EA: Battlefield V will have no loot boxes. It will have airlifts instead, which are loot boxes under a different name.

They're not even being subtle anymore.

"Back" on track? Why, has it ever been on track in the first place?

Well, I guess you could make a case for Wonder Woman.

@Foxtrot94 Sources close to Snyder have confirmed he had a 5 movie vision detailing DCEU heroes coming forward into the light. Man of Steel was the first part, BvS followed, Justice League Part 1 and 2 and an unknown fifth film were supposed to be part of this vision.

Then WB executives, who were fully familiar with Snyder's modus operandi, decided his vision was too niche and risky to the WB brand so they scrapped off that plan in favor of whatever the f#ck they're doing now. So, long story short, they were on track, but now they're trying to switch lanes so I assume after a brief adjustment period, DCEU is gonna return.
Gotta give props to this site; you haven't had a DMC/DmC in years yet you still function this well. Usually, fandom sites crumble when their franchise goes on a coma. Major props!

Thank google, and the members for that. Without either one, it wouldn't have survived this long. I close niche websites after finding out it's dwindling in traffic.

Well, you know, we have you guys to thank for that.

Also, hurry up and make another Devil May Cry game already, Capcom...we don’t want anyone leaving...not that you can since you sign your soul away when you join up. But still...another game would be nice.

It's a good thing we talk about other things around here. Otherwise yeah, a lot of us probably would up and leave. Plus, what can I say? I like most of the people here
If anyone's a fan of Sicario-like, intense, bleak thrillers that gradually escalate, I recommend Wind River. Saw it last night and I can't stop thinking about it.

With Morgan Freeman now under fire for sexual harassment, I now want to return to a simpler time when the saddest thing about my favorite celebs were their untimely deaths.

I'm disinclined to believe he's guilty. It's not that I don't believe any of the claims against celebs are true--just that most of them smell like deception. Until they come forward with proof, I say innocent until proven otherwise.

Until there's legitimate proof, I believe nothing. Not to say the claims on invalid, but until I see some ACTUAL proof, then I'm not gonna fall for it.

I am also in the camp of "until legitimate proof, I believe nothing." I liked Freeman, and I am sorry he's attacked like this. I believe the media is playing a sick little game at the moment. There are stories that are contradicting womens' accusations towards men in general right now. One woman LIED about a police officer sexual assaulting her. Another one LIED about Cosby sexual assaulting her.

That thousand yard stare. It was almost like he lost a war buddy, even though we've never seen the two together. Kinda described how niche the stealth infiltration genre has become too.

That's what I thought as well, before seeing Iron Man 3. But I guess he feels much more personally involved in Predator, so he's got that going on for him this time.

@Foxtrot94 Every bad decision made in Iron Man 3 was not his fault. Perlmutter was the head of most of the movies in Phase 2 and dude was a batsh#t insane, bigoted bastard who didn't want to have a woman as the villain of Iron Man 3 (as Black intended) because it wouldn't look good as an action figure, even though smug Guy Pearce on a three-piece suit isn't exactly good children's toy material either.

Besides, it's clear from his remarks that he only wanted to do a safe box-office bet like Iron Man 3 so he can go on and direct something smaller like "The Nice Guys", which was amazing.

Its because Justice League was a sinking ship that WB wrecked entirely.
Man, social media reactions for Infinity War have me hyped. I now want to see this movie as soon as possible.
As awesome as it is, My Hero Academia has some of the most hollow villains I've seen since DBZ.

Stark and Cap are going to die in IW, pretty sure of that. Vision is a given and Hawkeye is a canditate for death too, Loki died in the comics I think, Drax is also high up on the list given his history with Thanos.
The others are most likely to survive.
