Honestly, I think @Teal is right. The film was just an exercise in nostalgia-pandering, and did practically nothing to further the franchise's lore and mythos. Not only did it undo everything ROTJ sought to remedy, i.e., the Rebel-Empire conflict and the presence of Jedi, but it also kept the same look of Stormtroopers, TIEs & X-Wings, and samey-looking planets after what had been 30 in-universe years.

...the difference, is that the writers and production team received nothing but praise for doing precisely that, for lazily recreating the OG Trilogy's look and feel, so I have no hope in them improving...at least, not before this trilogy's over.

Shame that this'll be the last season. When that ends, my interest in this current Star Wars brand will have completely and utterly vanished along with it, since it's the only well-written and creative thing churned out by Lucasfilm at the moment.

CD Projekt's trademark of the word "Cyberpunk" is about as vapid & pretentious as it gets. That's a term describing an entire genre, morons.

Nothing evil about it, just very self-absorbed and paranoid of competition. This is done primarily to affect things like advertising and consumer awareness. It's like when KOEI Tecmo was going to trademark the term "Warring States" just to damage any competitive reach Capcom's Sengoku Basara series would've had, before they were dropped the copyright attempt. But at least THEY had the good sense to drop it.

I'm a fan of older anime, but GitS was always an exception. For one, it never had one true adaptation, since both the '95 movie and SAC series took themselves far more seriously than the actual manga, which is far goofier and more akin to Masamune Shirowe's other works.

Don't get me wrong: I love Masamune's artwork, the style and aesthetic of GitS's technology, and all of the voice talent of the SAC series, like Richard Epcar and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (both of which I've had the pleasure of meeting). But most of it comes off as a poor man's Blade Runner, with the few original elements it does have being flat, existential tedium standing in for an actual story and characters.

@Teal because people know who Batman and Superman are. GITS isn't as big as it use to be back in the early 2000's. And even then, Major Kusanagi wasn't much of a household name then either. That and the movie was bad on its own.

Well the countdown link comes from the achievements from an 8bit version of Bayonetta on Steam, so maybe Bayonetta gets a PC port perhaps?

        WolfOD64
Meh. You can get Bayonetta on 360 or Wii U and get the same 60fps experience, so a PC port would probably do nothing for people that are already fans. The only version of the game to avoid is the PS3 one, because of the framerate problems that plague most PS3 ports.

@Sparda's rejected son That honestly sounds like an amazing premise. I haven't seen the movie yet, but a friend is indoctrinating me all through Seasons 1-4, and I'm enjoying it so far. It's no GARO, but its age certainly adds to the charm of it. I really want to see what the movie does with all these characters.

GARO is PR's nudity, gore showing awesome cousin. I gotta c Zero Blood... Anyway yes, 2017 PR is indeed Breakfast Club meets Pasific Rim. It shows the teens drama, then builds on them learning to like each other. Then! Then, my friends they Morph n giant robots vs monsters ensues. I know more about movie Billy than TV Billy. 1. I love me some Sengoku Basara. Has a much more satisfying combat system than any Musou game...although, when it comes to depicting figures and events from the Sengoku Jidai, I think Samurai Warriors does a much better job. And Hyrule Warriors is one of the best modern Musou games by far, along with Samurai Warriors 4: Empires.

        2. If you're having trouble with the Behelit missions (which can definitely be attributed to the vague nature of the questionable translation job you mentioned above), I'd recommend looking up some of the guides that are on Steam. Most people have already gotten all the Behelits on import copies of the game already, so most of them already know the prerequisites for gaining them.

Yeah some of the Behelits are nuts, but I managed to get all the time limit ones by speedrunning the missions that are time limited on my first attempt, so they're at least doable.

DC Animated moveis, i.e., Son of Batman, Batman vs Robin, Batman: Bad Blood. He made three films oozing with potential, one of which takes elements from a favorite comic of mine, Court of Owls, into exercises of agony and tedium. I give the DCEU a lot of flak, but Damian is by far the worst things about the animated movies.

My Gal Friday and I watched Batman vs Robin the other night! We had an exceptional problem with the feature's terribly heavy-handed exposition. It might have been worse because we had also just come off from watchig John Wick again and marveling at how that film showed history with very little actual exposition :p
