  • I just realized there are serious talks to make a Jump Street/Men in Black crossover. To that I say, PLEASE make it happen!
"How do we make the Boruto manga a lighthearted shonen? I know, let's make the first villain a cannibal." - Mikio Ikemoto, 2017.

Damn. That's a steep curve for One Piece to make. One minute it was all fluffy animals and weird lovable characters, the other it becomes a The Weeknd music video.

To be fair, it's not like they actually *showed* her eating them. It was just heavily implied as the camera cuts away amid screams. Plus she's a major villain so it wasn't that surprising.
'Zod's snapped neck' wasn't cringy enough, so Stuckmann posted a picture of himself posing with black people while reviewing Get Out.

I will! Honestly, I don't like watching people embarrass themself but for some reason, I can't look away at Chris' cringe shelf. I have no idea why.

Enjoy willingly exposing yourself to the cringe, then. You're a braver man than I.

Im glad I wasn't the only one who was embarrassed of that script
Damn, I never thought I'd live to see the day Konohamaru becomes badass. Kudos to whoever's directing this Boruto anime! I dig it!
We should have GitS live-action director, Rupert Sanders, adapt every anime ever. Dude may not be Spielberg, but he gets the visuals down.

Had no idea an anime series could show restraint until I saw Joker Game.

Yeah. I'm not gonna pretend it was perfect. There were some twists and turns that missed their cue (like the 'revenge for my lover' scene in episode 4 - so cringy), but overall it was a raw, non-glamorized portrayal of real spies that showed a uniqueness uncharacteristic to the medium with it's restraint.

    Quick, what's your favourite episode?
Mine was probably "XX - Double Cross".

If I had to choose one, "Double Joker Part 1 and 2". Essentially, it's two episodes, but both tell the same story.

I hope Iron Fist's critical failure will shut up all those who rode the Marvel conspiracy wagon.

Oh, I knew it was a bad show from the get go. I didn't need critics to tell me that one. I was just saying I knew RT wasn't under some conspiracy by Disney to weed out competition. BvS is a movie that just isn't for everybody. Iron Fist was a show that had many issues with.
    DragonMaster2010

One of those issues being the main character. He's suppose to be a master martial artist, yet he fights like a novice in the show. The female characters feel like they're only there to be shown up by Danny. And all in all, the story looks to be plenty of mediocre.

Granted none of this will at all hasten the coming Defenders series. If Thor's mediocre first film didn't stop the first Avengers from happening, then neither will Iron Fist.
Naruto anime is coming to an end. Man, I feel so nostalgic and at the same time, optimistic for the the new Boruto series.
Explain your custom title to me.

I can't. It's one of those things at which you look back and wonder about the thought process that was taking place in your head that led to that decision.

Well, if early reviews are anything to go by, John Wick Ch.2 actually improves upon the first one. Let's hope it lives up the praises.
I didn't believe in the videogame curse until "Assassin's Creed" turned out to be ****e. Justin Kurzel of Macbeth, an amazing cast, yet...

People do hate the Prince of Persia one but I enjoyed it just fine. So I rather judge this for myself.

PoP is actually the best reviewed videogame adaptation. And I don't think AC's unwatchable, but when you get Fassbender, Irons, Cotillard and Kurzel in the director's chair, people expect more than shallow plot and characters and horrible pacing.

I made a post of this a while back; I'm the type of person who has underrated opinions on movies (BvS for example being my favorite) and even I gotta say this movie was pretty bad; both in pacing and character development.

I've had a pretty rocky relationship with Naruto the past few years. Regardless, the ultimate fight against Sasuke gave me some real feels.

Funny thing is i like the cast when their adults in Boruto.
"Don't Breathe", "Get Out", "Lights Out". I'm sensing a pattern with these recent horror films. At the same time, they all look/are dope.

Haven't heard of Don't Breathe, I'll have to look into that one. Very excited for the other two though!

Oh man, Don't Breathe is fantastic. Both Don't Breathe and Lights Out utilize videogame logic to an extent that is not utterly obnoxious. There were parts in Don't Breathe which reminded me a lot of videogame AIs when it came to the antagonist's behavior.

I've watched a lot of horror movies recently. In fact, me and the fiancée generally watch two a day - not this past week, though - but I'm sure eventually these movies will make it on our list.
"Rush" and "Straight Outta Compton" have got to be my two favorite biopics so far.

Both him and Bruhl killed it. They had such good chemistry and, while I think Bruhl has more talent, I don't think Hemsworth had to work hard to catch up to him either.

I hope so. Shymalan's had a lot of duds in the past, so I hope this is the beginning of a change.

His last film The Visit did alright as well. Haven't seen it yet though. If you asked me before I'd have said he's still a hack. But last year, before I saw his more recent stuff, I said Ben Affleck was one of the worst actors on the planet. Now he's my favorite Batman

I also enjoyed The Visit, though it does bum me out a little bit to see that he is still not making an effort to apply real world logic to his "Shyamalan twists". Nevertheless, I thought it was enjoyable.
