    I would just concentrate on making a decent-looking game with the kind of mechanics and gameplay associated with both classic flight sims and Roberts' own works. Don't bog down development with making it some kind of technical marvel...just make it PLAY well. A game can still be ambitious even if it isn't a graphical juggernaut.

    Graphically it already looks stunning, the part I'm worried about is all the different elements flowing together well in one product. To master space flight/combat, planetary landings, surface travel & interiors and ground combat is going to be a major feat in itself.

    Lack of focus creates lack of polish. Resident Evil 6 is a living, breathing example of that. Here's hoping that doesn't happen to Star Citizen, but the signs are already emerging.

    I look at what sort of time ive got & try to pick games that I can make the most progress on in that time. My backlog gets bigger by the day and some games like The Witcher 3/Fallout 4 have taken a back seat as I finish shorter games to lessen the sheer amount. Some days I just stare and cant figure out what to play that I can fit in.

  Just a curiosity of mine. You said you never played a Devil May Cry game, and are only an admin here because Steve asked you to be. But since you've been on here for SO long, reading and seeing stuff about the series, have you ever been at least tempted to play them? Or maybe action games are just not your genre.

    I havent owned them myself but I have played a couple of them & watched Steve play the older ones at his house a decent amount. I like action games but have never really been a big Capcom fan, nothing against them but their style just wasnt my thing. Same reason I never played any resident evil outside of the original (mainly watched others play it), I have never really been that into ANY Capcom game.

    Some developers styles just arent my thing, its not exclusive to Capcom though. The series itself was decent enough with its mechanics but the stories just dont grab me. Quite a few developers out there that have a style that doesnt really grab my interest enough to buy the games. Since ive got older, a mortgage & a child im even more selective of the games I spend my time & money on too.
