I was in college and I didn't mind omniverse that much
Omniverse I tried, but got frustrated and dropped for a good reason.

Giving Ben a new partner worked for me. But generator Rex felt like the better Ben 10 successor. So I wish Rex hung out with Rook instead.
Rook I had 0 problems with and was one of the few things I liked. I hate the art style though. Generatox Rex is so much better. At least that show knew when to end. The crossover episode with Ben and Rex is great too, and better than any other Ben 10 projects that came afterward.

I don't really care for the alien origin for Venom. I prefer the science experiment origin and the parent connection in the Ultimate Universe.

That would've been a better direction for the Venom films to me.

Although I would've skipped Eddie for Flash Thompson. I never became a fan of Venom till Flash's era. He had the stronger setup for a spinoff than Eddie did until the recent comics. So I'm hoping they start pulling from those in the future Venom films.

After the big boom of retro style FPS, I don't feel the need to play Wolfenstein: New Order or New Colossus ever again. Good games with great stories, but they both have pacing issues (more so NC), and game design I disagree with. I already traded in both games before COVID, and I highly doubt I'm going back to either.

Easily one of the best trends in gaming is the break away from Call of Duty. I like CoD, but that era of every FPS trying to be CoD was just awful.

Now we need a remake of the Resistance games.

I assume you need to say best. Otherwise, I 1,000% agree with you.

It was either COD or Gears. A majority of those stuck around, did so little, and most never made it to the 8th or current generation. Most of them are bad and are more repetitive than almost any brawler that got crapped for it unfairly.

Now we need a remake of the Resistance games
Only the first two games need remakes. Resistance 3 still plays the best and is the most polish of the series. The first game is just okay, while the second game had that same problem of another game trying to be like COD and Gears. There's not too much you can improve on Resistance 3. I would take a portal remaster of 3, if given the chance. Unfortunately, we all know that's never going to happen, because Sony's got a bug up their butt. Not to mention, they have a habit of only to stick behind something, but once it no longer makes iall the money that they want to make, or they find some new trend to jump on/start, the bastards will abandon their previous game or franchise in a heartbeat. Not all Sony titles face this, but there is a pattern. They can still screw off for abandoning JAPAN Studio as well. Ungrateful douchebags.

I’m still bitter about the lack of Wipeout.

I don’t know how unpopular this is, but I’m sick of how much AAA games fall into one of a few categories: battle royale, Soulslike, Ubisoft open world games, or narrative focused action games. I don’t like the first two at all and the second two are good but far from my favorites.

I get the reason why this happens: games are expensive so focusing on what is guaranteed to sell makes perfect business sense. But it’s an exhausting cycle: game comes out that blows people’s minds (Dark Souls, Witcher 3, Fortnite, etc.), every game for the next several years tries to be one of those games until the market is sick of it, the Next Big Thing comes along, every game tries to be that instead, the old trends are forgotten about for years or decades on end.

I think the reason why it seems so much worse now is because they’re simply more games coming out than ever before. So there ends up being more of these copycat games.

Thankfully smaller developers are around to make whatever passion project they want. But AAA gaming can get repetitive and tiresome pretty dang quick.

DMC3 Dante is the only Dante that worked for me. 4 and 5's take didn't appeal to me after the game was over. I think it was a mistake not to do more with DMC3's era.

4/Reboot/anime would've been better as follow-ups to 3 than being set after 1 and seperate in the reboot's case. Jumping back to after 1 didn't work for me. So I'm hoping the upcoming animated series really explores that era for a while longer.

Me too. I can't keep playing the Omega Collection forever.

Yep. I'm not even into those styles of 3 games you just mentioned. Their clones even less. Aside from Tsushima, I got time for playing games and stop playing them after Saints Row 2.

I rarely ever bother with AAA games anymore. Aside from Capcom, Platinum Games, and various Nintendo titles. I care way more for either smaller developers and publishers, niche, AA, or individuals in the Indie crowd.

I prefer kid protagonists that get older than those that stay as kids forever.

Representation is an important value but a misunderstood value by fans, writers and producers as a whole. It's a building block not a one size fits all solution.

Same. It's why Digimon will always be better than Pokémon when it comes to the TV shows. Characters, either age, develop and change in personality, or both. It's what made me stop watching the Simpsons even before the movie came out. The same applies to Family Guy and American Dad. Same shiet over and over again with characters resetting in personality or staying as kids/teens forever. For all of Loud House's problems, even they decided to age the characters slightly by the later season. I say this, and I am not even a fan of the series. And as much as I hate Legend of Korra, it got this aspect right as well.

I'd say the misunderstood value falls harder on the writers and producers than the fans. Not saying fans are immune or excluded from this. I noticed the fans who misunderstand usually only want representation, but don't to do anything with said characters except be part of the background or just to score point and a pat on the back.

Fans tend to be more reactive but they are the lifeblood of a fandom. So they have a role to play. Being the Marvel and DC fandoms taught me how big of a role they could play. Alot of problems the comics have are tied to the fans and their habits. You do need to hold those companies account because alot of their practices are really outdated. Especially when it comes to introducing new characters. But fans can't say they didn't play a role in that practice.

I'm both a fan and a writer so I'm just trying to apply what I've learned as both to my own work. We'll see how successful I am if I ever get published lol.

Confession time: I never finished Astral Chain, and I don't see myself coming back to it. Bayonetta 3 pretty much killed what little interest I had left. Astral Chain is not bad, but I don't like the mission structure, and it gets too repetitive for me. I heard the final boss is ass and has lots of one-hit kills. Not worth the frustration.

Another take: these action games should have co-op or separate co-op modes. Only some of them do. Ninja Gaiden II & 3 have them on last generation consoles. They were partner AI only and removed respectively on the Remastered Collection for Sigma 2 and 3RE respectively. Bayonetta 2 has Tag Climax Mode. Capcom retroactively added co-op in the Switch version of DMC3's Bloody Palace. Spyborgs, while not a good game, is a DMC/God of War game that allowed singe player or two player co-op throughout the entire campaign. Seriously, we need more of these fun modes. Even Evil West has co-op, though it is not perfect.

In the age of internet, where everyone can easily share their opinion with everyone else, critics' reviews (of movies, games, whatever) have become utterly irrelevant.

They had value back when they were the only way to get informed about a product to try and estimate if you'd like it and if it was worth your time and money. Not anymore. The audience's opinion is what matters in that regard, gives you a much more relatable point of view and it's now readily available.

Critics are obsolete.

I never go off reviews @Foxtrot94 , it is entirely subjective so i like to find out for myself if a game or movie or show is good. Alternatively i just ask like minded friends what they think too.

Critics review the artistic perspective.
Audience reviews the entertainment perspective.

I tend to think there is a place for both categories depending on the user/usage profile. I use both types, relying more on critics in books, and audience reviews in movies and games.

I would like the MCU to skip over the Giant Size X-men additions for Gen X or Academy X.

I wished Miles Morales was a new IP than second Spiderman. Miles inadvertently created a trend where DC and Marvel were obsessed with creating new legacies. It made both universes smaller and these new characters were handicapped as the understudies.

There are rumors of DC doing an imprint called "Absolute DC Comics" which is rumored to be their answer to Marvel's ultimate universe. I rather it was a reinvention like Gods and monsters or Stan Lee's Just imagine. DC has done a ton of reboots over the years and they loose effect after a while.

So I saw the new trailer for the upcoming "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie.

Everyone I know keeps telling me that I "don't have Superhero fatigue, just a fatigue of bad movies lately". But after watching that trailer and feeling completely empty inside whilst everyone seems to be cheering - I'm making a stand and saying no, it is superhero fatigue and I wish these movies would just go away, they're deader than disco at this point.
