So do you all think Vergil will wield Beowulf again in a boss battle? Wonder if he'll reclaim them?
By the way. Am I the only one who gets that song stuck in their head but forgets where it's from or what the lyrics are and unconsciously makes up their own?
After DmC you'd think they'd add more than just the barebones addition of the same thing. Even the SDT walks around rather than floating, like Dante's does. I'm sure it took time and effort to animate, adapt and design all of that but for us, the players, it's the same thing as before but with no DT, another DmC addition and nothing remotely extravagant. There's still 9 days left till release and I hope they show more but, as it stands, Vergil is really not a highlight of this SE, the technical and graphical improvements are.
You know what would be cool? If instead of Force Edge, or some Summoned Swords copy of it. Vergil had Nelo Angelo's sword.
Personally i would not have liked this since nelo Angelo is something that vergil want to forget because it was extremely painful for him, so it doesn't make much sense for him to want to replicate nelo Angelo sword... And he also completely destroy those memory separating them into the familiar, when dante killed them in dmc 5, nelo Angelo memory of pain and suffering where finally gone for good
It has been stated and confirmed that Vergil no longer has a DT. He has a Doppelganger and a SinDT. Not only that but his SinDT doesn't even float, he walks, making it look rather bland and less than impressive. Except for the move list and weapons, which are not very interesting looking, Beowulf looks more like the gauntlets from GoW3, and just as bulky, and a phantom sword, they seem to have used recycled elements. I'm guessing there'll be no new outfits, at best there'll be new colors, exiting

Yeah, it's a Sin DT in the lore so it's got that activation mechanism in gameplay, but functionally, in the way it plays, it IS his "regular DT". They kinda mixed the two concepts and looks like it doesn't even have the flying move from his boss fight. Definitely a step down from Dante's SDT.
Oh well. At least he's only 5 bucks or so.
Well Vergil is worth the 5 bucks I guess. This SE has once again taken the road of minimum effort for Vergil, I wonder if the motivated boi will one day be respected in this serie. At least, he respect the main feature of DMC 5 : try to fix the serie and playing it safe with the innovation.

Too bad his campaign was mostly recycled assets from Mission 2, and some other parts of Limbo from other missions. Then you have the cheap hand drawn cut-scenes where they were clearly running out of budget. I just did not find his campaign fun. Once I got all the trophies and got SSS for all of the missions, I did want to bother with him again. I had more fun with Rodin in Tag Climax than DmC!Vergil.
Mirage Edge is the name of the spectral Force Edge Vergil wields.

True, but the fact that that is still more than what DMC Vergil's gotten every single time he's been made playable in the main series is quite underwhelming.
No they changed summoned sword name, now it's called mirage blade
While force edge spectral sword is called mirage edge
