  • What the F is wrong with Toyotaro? Ultra Instinct MASTER ROSHI? The DBS manga's quality has plummeted to the garbage can.

T'is truly a shame since side projects like Jaco show that Toriyama really can write heartfelt drama with well rounded and developed characters. But DB is quagmire'd in numerous promblesm such as the power escalation paradox.

This is the reason why I prefer GT.

"[Dragon Ball Super: Broly's] original script would've made for twice the scheduled 90 minute run time, so everyone involved has worked to trim it down, though the run time has still been slightly extended" IDEC, gimme the 3-hour Broly movie!!
Re: Nico being Nell's granddaughter... Hey Capcom, don't you think it's 15 years too late to reference the DMC1 novel?

@Z218 Yeah, but it's amazing how much material and time they wasted even with 12 episodes. They didn't even mention Vergil in it.

By making grue an appearance i meant as a ghost or a mention. It would be cool if his daughters popped up.

Ohhhh. Ok. Grue could show up as that then. ............... but they don't even mention Eva as her own character most of the time, so I'm not holding out much hope for this guy.

That's actually a good idea; maybe the daughters showing up means Capcom will remember Dante wasn't always in debt to everyone and their mother and that he put them through college with his own money.
Spider-Man Homecoming was entertaining. Loved Michael Keaton as the Vulture. Also, there's a mid-credits and post-credits scene.

Quick question: Do the Sokovia Accords play a part in this movie? Please respond with a simple 'yes' or 'no'. I'm doing my best to avoid major spoilers.

What a wasted opportunity. Well, thank you nonetheless!
The Last Knight had such a short credits sequence I'm STILL not sure if I had seen the post-credits scene or not.

Watch out for the aspect ratio shift, though. Once you notice the black bars re-/dis-appearing, you can't unsee it.

Bro, I went through the entirety of The Dark Knight Rises unhinged by the changing aspect ratio. Bay ain't got sh!t on me.

TDKR had that too? I didn't even notice. Can't remember whether I saw it on IMAX or not, though. That's how I noticed the ratio shift in this movie.
Alien: Covenant in four words: Well, that escalated quickly

I sort of agree, but I thought it also returned to a pretty plodding place soon after and didn't really pick up again until the climax. This will probably be the first Aliens film that I do not race out and buy. What were your thoughts?

I wouldn't go out and buy either unless it came in a collection with the other movies, but that'd be because this is the first Aliens film I've ever seen, haha. The acting was good, but a few of the twists were too predictable and I'm still sad it required a few characters to act like idiots and for a bit of continuity to get tossed out within the hour it was established.
Got out of the new POTC movie. Still WTFing at a trope. Also, there's a post-credits scene.
The King Arthur movie was surprisingly good!

I'm happy you enjoyed it. The shame is that absolutely nothing about this movie resembles King Arthur to me. The characterizations, the roles, the backdrop, the visuals, the encompassing story and themes...the only thing it has in common with any of the past interpretations of the Arthur myth is one or two names. Remove that scarce coincidence, and I'd never have known this was a film based on Arthur or Camelot.

It's literally every derivative fantasy flick hastily-cobbled together nowadays, like Snow White & The Huntsman and John Carter. And I'd be less repulsed if it was just a run-of-the-mill fantasy schlock, but I've been waiting for a proper, modern King Arthur adaptation for years, and that made this whole endeavor an even harder slap in the face.

But I'm in a very minor opinion about why I didn't like this movie, so don't worry too much about it. I've heard people whine about how this movie isn't "historically accurate", which is absurd considering none of the Arthurian concepts that have endured in literature have any prominent basis in historical fact. All previous versions ignore fact and history.
Just saw GOTG vol. 2. I didn't think they'd put a post-credits scene, but they did FIVE. Worth sitting through, imo.
When real world locations fail, go for phantom islands. I'm not saying Mallet is Satanazes, but yeah. That's what I'm going with.
Well, Dan just confirmed the pic of Johnny and Reuben isn't of DMC5 being in the works. Glad I didn't get on the hype train!
