To me, or to the movie? Seriously, all I managed to do was Google if there even was a post-credits scene, checked some other things, and I was staring at the theater logo when I next looked up. That's the biggest twist the movie pulled, to be honest.
Is it weird that I'm kind of curious to see how King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table play into all of this? I'm sure the movie's crap, but I'm tempted to see it when it hits rental.
It is, unless you're one of those types that walk into the *fifth Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay* with the expectation that it'll do a 180 and have 10/10 writing, care about continuity, and maintain strict adherence to the source material henceforth (G1 in particular) because Bay would've hypothetically seen the old cartoons, realized where he went wrong, and course-corrected the film to be less Bay-ish.
In that case you're literally wasting time. Wrong director. Wrong installment. Wrong franchise. Go in for the individual characters and the spectacle, and you're good. Bumblebee is still great, Optimus Prime is still moody and violent as hell, and Anthony Hopkins wasn't phoning his performance in like he did in Thor 2, and that's what matters to me.
