I love alternate endings to movies.

Why can't you go into the cinema asking to watch the version where everyone dies at the end and the world gets blown up? Oh no, you've got to wait for the DVD.
It's a shame sometimes those alternate endings actually prove to be better, and make more sense. What comes to mind is the original ending for "I Am Legend" that they changed, which completely missed the point of the entire story.

In the movie we have now, Will Smith's character does some heroic sacrifice in a more action packed and explosive climax to save the people he met. However, in the original book, he comes to a realization and doesn't even die if I remember correctly.

He realizes that the world is not theirs anymore. It belongs to the new inhabitants. He is their boogeyman. The "monster" that's been going around and killing them. Their legend. Hence the title.

The movie.......totally missed the point.

I'm curious, what are your thoughts on the ending?
It would have been a pretty sweet ending if it weren't for the fact that alongside loose ends that have been dragging for so long now we also have to wonder have certain characters even survived. Urahara, Yoruichi, Grimmjow... no sign of them. Kira might as well be still chasing Lille chickens around. Did anyone got Haribel out of the dungeon or is "Mario" still looking for the right castle? Where are Isshin and Ryuuken, sailing around the world? Is Komamura now Kyoraku's official sake guardian? Where are Kon and Hanatarou?
This thing needs either ten more chapters or a thick databook. :'(

It's been a while since I had a night terror. Brain, let's not do that again, yeah? I kind of want to sleep well, y'see. (If this keeps up, I'm probably going to wind up napping just to catch up on the sleep I've been losing).

+Don't even try to write now. You know you'll just frustrate yourself with how sluggish you're feeling. Get a couple of cups in first, then try.

++Next Friday better come quickly...:dead:

So, there's this British Assaulter guy in Evolve, Hyde.

latest

He puts DmC Dante to shame when it comes to cursing, and he's always kind of the game's mascot, with his "Clumsy ****ing bastard!" when a Monster unintentionally alerts birds (not kidding, people sometimes asked the Monster player to alert birds just to have a laugh hearing him say that), or "Y'got me, I don't give a ****", or "I love melting ****ing faces", with that accent that makes it all the funnier.

Well, I got in a game where the Hyde player intentionally left the mic on and kept talking like Hyde the whole match. I'm sure everybody muted him but I left him on all the time cause I was having the best laughs of my life. :')

Thank you, Aurora. You just about gave me a heart attack, kid. :dead: Doesn't help that I keep seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye. Which after last night's lovely little night terror (involving a hallucination of a shadowy figure looming over my shoulder) I'm on edge as it is. Gods help me if tonight's the same...

+Yay, I think I got things more or less back on track. -Fingers crossed it stays that way-

Well, Capcom announced RE 7 and Dead Rising 4 at E3. If something Devil May Cry related was in the works, it would have been announced there. I don't know of any Devil May Cry that made its debut at the Tokyo Game Show. All were at E3 first.
DmC made it's debut at TGS 2010 if I'm not mistaken.

Took my kid sister to see Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. If they make it an annual thing we can go see the others we missed. Oh, man, a chance to see Howl, Totoro, Rosso, Kaguya, Poppy Hill, and Marnie in theatres... So worth the price of admission.

That way lies madness, Rebel. Do you really think you want to give credence to that? Oh sure, it sounds plausible in your head, but out loud? It just sounds bat-**** crazy. :cautious: And yet still...why can't it be possible?

+I haven't done that in a long time. Maybe I should make the effort to get back into it. If only once a week. Might help clear my head a little.

++Seven more days...

After reading the latest chapter of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, I was thinking once again how a person's style of art can change over the years. Especially since it's a comic that's been running continuously for over 25 years now. The characters in particular have changed in the way they're drawn...

From the macho manly artstyle of the 80's and 90's.

To the androgynous pretty boys of the 2000's:

To the much more realistic depiction of people in the 2010's.

...I wish I could draw well. :'(
