Listening to the host at an online awards event:

"The first commendation in this category goes to person X. Thank for the things you do. And the other commendation goes to person Y. Oh my gosh, this person is so amazing, I know them, I work with them, it's so deserved, well done etc etc"

Bit uneven there, I think...

I've decided to buy a design pad to make digital art, I know I don't have the talent to draw my story as awesome as I see it in my head, but I gotta do something. Maybe if I just keep working on it forever it'll eventually get there. This is seperate from my book idea, so I got a lot going on.
Digital art might be the future.
I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to drawing, because I'm still stuck with drawing things on paper and scanning them.
I still use digital coloring over my hand-drawn line-art, though.

It's edited and sent. Feels bad to get separated from it again. :(
But hey, it's getting published and if I'm lucky, someone's gonna review it!
I know the editor is busy right now but I'm still nervous, I haven't heard anything back from them :S

Anyway, I hit a fine word count for another project today and it feels great. Finally getting somewhere with this one! :)
I guess I've got my confidence back. ^^

+ I'm feeling huge. :|

Loki's 2nd episode was fun and it reminded me why I didn't like Agent of SHIELD back in the day. Which also helped me figure out what Im lacking in my own work in a roundabout way.

I swear, this KDP "cover sizing/bleed" crap gets harder with each book. Why you no tell me the EXACT size, KDP? Why do you keep sending me the same form with the exact same measurement add-on? If that had worked, I wouldn't have to keep re-submitting it. >.< And I just *had* to bump up the release date to June 20th. What the hell was I thinking? Oh, yeah...I won't have time with the move. ._.

My mom suddenly (and late af) got into her MCU phase and so we watched the whole series of movies. On Thor: Ragnarok (that movie's really stupid btw) she cracked me up when she saw Thor getting KO'd by a taser: "Wait, he's the god of what again?"

I like how Rockstar just announced the closure for GTA Online for both the PS3 and XBox 360... yet the servers for Red Dead Redemption 1 and GTA 4 remain accessible...

If you cant replace your phone battery then someone ripped you off. What kind of phone is it?
A LG Smart phone I think. My understanding is that no modern smart phone allows you get a new battery. You're stuck with the only one you get. I've never heard of anyone getting a replacement battery for their smart phone.

After a while batteries start to degrade and not hold their charge as well as they did. Apple put a feature into the iPhone that gives you an overall percentage of your battery health. Once it drops below a certain level you could take it into a store and have it replaced (for a small fee depending on how long you had owned it). If it was a fairly new phone they would often do it for free there and then.

Gonna have to be more specific than that. What kind of LG phone is it?

Every phone has a battery, and every modern phone worth a damn has a warranty. Any phone with a warranty that can't be fixed for a common failure point and requires an entire phone replacement is worthless and so's the company that sells it, and if the phone can be assembled by human hands (sweatshops say hi!) then there's a teardown video for it and thus, a way to replace the battery with the right tools.

See if any of these fit.

Nobody can tell you're Asian as long as you avoid saying "sorry for my bad English" at the end of your sentence.
This way, I can pretend I'm American, Canadian, Australian, etc.
Ha ha, no one will know.

Sorry for my bad Eng- GODDAMMIT.

A friend is having a big crisis and all I can think about is how to help them.

Yeah... there are a multiple ways to help a friend in need... unless they won't accept any help. And you cannot force an adult person if they're not in immediate life danger.
Which, to be frank, seems not to be too far-fetched atm.

I just saw this coming. Told my husband months ago their writing is getting weird. Like something's not right.
*sigh*

I texted them and told them to call if they need anything. I guess that's all I can do.
We have a spare room for them to sleep in, just that I'm afraid they'd rather sleep outside than ask for help. :/

LG Q7+ is my phone. But I am unaware of battery changes. Seriously nobody talks about such a thing
My phones tend to be so cheap that it isn't really cost-effective to change their batteries or to fix anything at all. T__T

Might be due to their personal life experiences.
I can relate to the feeling of wanting to solve my problems all by myself and being hesitant to ask others for help.

My father "nope'd" as well.

He expressed his dislike over "movies based on comics" like Captain America, Iron Man and so on.

And then I revealed to him that one of his favorite movie, Road To Perdition is actually based on a comic.

He "Nope''d" hard that it started out with a bit of denial.
He even asked: "you mean to say it was based on a novel...?"

I said: "No, it was a comic."

After a few seconds of awkward silence, he says "I WAS CHEATED" out loud.

(I mentioned this before in another thread)
I take it your father is very insecure man. My dad has some closed-mindedness when it comes to a certain properties being adapted, but not to that extent. The only comic book characters he cares about are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Black Panther. Sometimes the incredible hulk too, but it's mostly the 80s Show. Mainly his close mindedness comes to animation. It's not that hates it, it's more so he doesn't care for it. No matter how groundbreaking or thought provoking that animation can be. The only animated movie I know he loves a lot, ironically enough, is FernGully. I like the movie as well, but it's just an all right movie. Tim Curry and Robin Williams steal the show.
