I didn't know any of that. But overall the scene is dumb but innocent at best. I didn't see it as a "boob" joke. I guess it is but it isn't evil.
I think Gal is just being a bit overboard. She lied down and cracked a smile. I don't see why she was uncomfortable, again non of this was evil intentions.
Again, it's not anyone else's fault you haven't paid attention. Try doing that right now.
First, Gal did not "go overboard". She refused to do a scene and Joss Whedon, a grown man who does
not need to reuse a gag scene he already used in Age of Ultron-- because the gag serves no purpose to the plot and is a waste of time-- hired the stunt double to do the scene and wasted everyone's time adding a 90s-harem-anime gag instead of working on making the rest of the film not be trash.
Second, she objected to lines he was making her record in ADR and in his infinite wisdom he decided to
lock her in her room and
threaten her to say the line or else he'd jeopardize her career as well as Patty Jenkins's career. He then went onto brag on set about how he "had it out" for her and how he would make her look stupid in the movie and interfere with WW84 as he did Justice League. All of this and his difficulties with the other actors made rounds in comic book movie leak/rumor circles since
at least 2018 and was confirmed recently in the trades.
Did you know, poor or questionable dialogue isn't worth locking someone in a room and threatening their career over it? Shocking, I know! In fact, intentionally and unlawfully restricting someone's freedom of movement, say, by locking them in a room, is called "false imprisonment" and is
a crime and a civil wrong. So not only is it an unprofessional move, it's not even legal!
At any point after admitting you didn't know the context of why the scene came about, you had two options:
1) Look it up. Reserve your opinion until you've looked it up. This information is readily available, and you have
no imperative to pop off about things you're ignorant about.
2) If you refused to do 1, drop the subject
without making value statements towards/against any particular party.
You did neither. You instead went to defense of an ill-tempered director, making absolute statements going contrary to reported truth ("none of this was evil intentions"? really?), just because you wanted to broadcast that you liked an unnecessary breast gag. You tried to make the actress involved seem unreasonable over an abuse of power directed at her, her stunt double who wound up doing the scene, and a director the actress was working with in another movie, when at least two out of three of those people went straight to the chairman over it and handled their business.
You should've known better three posts ago.
