I know the feeling lol

My mother in law judges our house, my wife and me, and our daughter.

It takes a lot to keep my mouth closed, but I do it for peace sake.It usually ends with her and my wife having an arguement and she leaves early.

I just wait it out ha ha

There was a big fire near my district this morning. The first thing I noticed when I stepped outside was a huge cloud of smoke and a sulphuric odour of burning waste. A minute later I got a national emergency warning in my phone that everyone in that area should shut all the windows and air conditioning because of the smoke. The thing was that I was taking a bus to the university, which is also located on the warning area, and I was going to take an exam there.

I was just wondering if I am now qualified as a Responsible Student™ since I didn't pay any thought for seeking shelter or going back inside, or if I am just stupid and my priorities are all the way wrong. Hell no is a fire going to stop me on taking an exam in the legal sociology! :D

I wish there were more games set in the Victorian era so my choices weren't just:

The Order 1886 (not really interested in what I've seen of it)
Bloodborne (not really Victorian)
Assassin's Creed Syndicate (played it, liked it, but wanted a new game instead of one I've already played)
Fable III (barely Victorian; played it, loved it, but wanted a new game instead of one I've already played)
a handful of Holmes games (which have all been commented on as really short or really broken despite being $35 - $55 on XBL)
a bunch of games from the early 90s that probably don't work on modern coms
and like...games that are genre-y ambiguous, with elements of Victorian or Steampunk design, but are all in first person and thus are unplayable.

I am...very bored and aesthetically starved.

My youngest's primary school has just announced it can take all pupils back, on a rota basis, for the month of July.

So...2 days a week until the summer holidays which are in about a month's time anyway. At the most, he might go back for up to 8 days in total before the end of term.

Nah. Might as well just crack on at home - lasted this long, what's another few weeks?

You might wanna check out Vampyr. 1918, but close enough.
Greedfall is very Victorian like aswell to go with vampyr

Not set in britain though

I'm interested in both games, tbh! Edwardian and Late Restoration to Mid-Georgian designs are also in my aesthetic wheelhouse. It's just like...y'know when you're craving something specific and someone offers you something similar and it's really tasty but you're still craving that one thing? That. Though I am really glad that games are utilising more time periods than just modern, medieval fantasy, and space. ^^

It's my first day at work and I already got a sunstroke while gathering herbs to the kitchen.

After this I'm probably gonna get a stomach ulcer due to the amount of painkillers I've swallowed to deal with this terrible headache.

Requesting sick leave isn't an option just before the midsummer when every single cook is needed in the kitchen, but if I'm shaking like this tomorrow, unable to lower my head because of the damn hammers inside it and occasionally ready to throw up, I don't know how am I gonna make it through the day.

It's been nearly a week since I worked on ST (I ended up going through the MG to make sure it looked okay in the event the agent who asked for a partial asks for more), so it'll be interesting trying to get back into that headspace again.

+...And now my MIL has FB. That's...interesting. :cautious: (In-laws are still over, and while it's been an okay visit, not gonna lie--I really just want my house back, lol. Feeling a little stifled right now, so it's a good thing they're heading home today.)

Grounded could really be one of the sleeper hits of the year if it launches in a good state, really enjoyed watching footage of people playing the demo and it’s had a really positive reception by players.

Glad to be getting some writing done. I just wish it didn't feel like I was just going through the motions. I wonder if I'll come to love this story once I'm revising it? Because right now I feel like it's a haphazard mess. ^^;

+Why on Earth did I dream about Stephen Fry bungee jumping? :cautious: The subconscious comes up with some weird **** sometimes.
