Got a really exciting email today, but I won't know whether it will bear fruit or fall through until next week.

Last weekend I sarcastically put on the Mortal Kombat theme to help my brother beat the final battle in MK11. I've listened to it like six more times since then.
Are we talking about the MK movie theme? Like when Shang Tsung says "It has begun!" or "Let Mortal Kombat begin!"? My favorite theme is Traci Lord's "Control." (Plays during the Reptile fight.)
A local church event calendar told the following:

The more I look at it (and the more I research them) the less I see this going anywhere. Yeah, they're not "officially" a vanity publisher, since they tend to be discerning (whereas vanity publishers are just out to make a quick buck with ANY work). But if they really believed my MG would do well on the market, they wouldn't be talking about "upfront payment".
Still, I'll look at the contract when they send it next week; I just won't hold my breath that it'll be any different than other people's experiences with them.
Guess I'll approach this with an "expect nothing, and you won't be disappointed" attitude. I'm better off focusing on FotS's launch, anyway. Still lots to do there.

I know the feeling, been through that as well. Now that I'm able to go back outside it's not much better though, as I can't go to work regularly due to not many new assignments coming in.

Whatever your religion/beliefs/no religion whatsoever, I hope everyone is having a great day and if you do celebrate Easter, don't make yourself sick on too much chocolate.
