Three reviewers talk about DmC

They just want to hear what they want to hear and that's bashing the game they don't like. Because over 2 years complaining about it isn't enough.

Just analyze this for a sec, after Adam Sessler gave the game a 3 out of 5 the a lot of DMC fans were ready to basically marry the guy. The other reviewer they all flocked too was Angry Joe because he bashed Dante's appearance severely. Suddenly because Adam isn't bashing the game and they're just all fairly exchanging opinions the comments are now filled with hate of them suddenly and evidently Adam doesn't know what he's talking about. The purist opinions on DMC are the only thing they truly think are facts and if anyone says any different it's taboo. Adam is being hated on. Then look at Angry Joe.

Angry Joe gave Metal Gear Rising the same exact score as DmC and you can just read the comments on youtube, a lot of them now suddenly hate Joe. This fanbase is just ridiculous and they need to get over themselves.
I remember that from some other video, I forgot his name (he show cased that Dante necklace and did those Bond faces while doing so XD) he made a video that had some moments where he disagreed on some stuff, and he got praised for a fair review. The same guy made videos just showing some of the levels, and they thumbs down and turned on him like a pack of dogs.

I actually wish youtube had an ignore button like this forum, would make my life a lot easier than having to read people behave like children and come up with one excuse after the other while it's okay to toss manners and reason out the window. It's those days when you find someone who doesn't like the new game and doesn't rage about it with the brain capacity of a 5 year old that you want to kiss and marry them on the spot, that you think maybe, just maybe, there's still some hope left for the fandom yet.

DmC is a fantastic game.

No amount of /v/itriol or ad hominem will change that.

Now move along.

Of course, nothing will change that.

That sure as hell won't stop the antis from trying, though. :ermm:

Edit:

It's a good thing I put them all on ignore...

And the same could be said for the DmC lovers who cried out to that it wasn't fair...when it was the magic meaning...an Opinion.

Again, Tell that to the fans who think that 3/5's or 7/10's are not fair and cry bloody murder about it when its mentioned and they think 9/10 to 10/10's are fair and when they think their word of the fanbase is law.

True but it did have;

-Kyrie's outfit closely resembling Orihime's during the Las Noches arc.
-Nero using a bigass sword like Ichigo
-Nero using a high powered katana
-The order practically being the Arrancar but only with a few members
-Yes the two voice actors
-Nero's attitude with that whole hot head routine. (Though not completely like Ichigo)

Hollow Vergil meet Hollow Ichigo

Your argument is invalid.

1 thing that just represents man vs. self in a personified form for his character arc. News flash dude, that's been done lots of times before even Bleach existed and does 1 thing that may slightly compare to an anime really compare to an entire franchise that has been doing it since its inception? Hardly, you're argument is invalid because you can only spike up that as a defense. You can draw lines all day comparing how many influences and things DMC took since it came out in 2001 when it comes to ripping off anime.

Yeah but Bleach isn't the only one to have a plot where the main hero tries to rescue his love interest with a sword and an angsty.

Also, Hollow Ichigo and Hollow Vergil both represent an manifestation of their own inner power not their inner self. Also, why is it called "Hollow" Vergil, has pale white skin, wears white (contrary to the real guy who are both wearing black Vergil/Ichigo), have black seclera with ring shaped iris's, make the main characters go through some trials, make them both fight it inside their own head/inside world, and upon defeating both return/merge to the user that grants them access to a new power.

Plus if anything Bleach has been "ripping off" DMC before DMC4 did it.

Living weapons that contains the souls of spirits/demons (Devil Arms=Zanpuktos)

Both main characters lost their mothers to an attack by said supernatural beings and has a moment where they get their revenge.

Only difference DMC came first.

Also, Kamiya did say that he got some influence from this manga called "Cobra" so you're right about that.

You do realise that Vergil's Downfall was a dedication to Bleach?

Someone at Ninja Theory obviously really liked Bleach.

Same way how someone from Capcom liked Bleach and made reference to Bleach in DMC4 yet you guys (maybe not you) criticize DMC4 for having influences to Bleach but not DmC which is supposed to be a westernized DMC but its taking ideas from Japanese anime/manga.

"I've seen lots and lots of anime shows but DMC 3 and 4 were just this generic anime rip offs. DMC 3 is shamelessly Inuyasha and 4 was basically like that stupid Bleach show. I don't care for either Inuyasha or Bleach so maybe that's why I don't care for such blantant rip offs in it's content."

Touche. But I never said DmC didn't copy Bleach either, now did I?
I tend to agree with your posts, despite being a DMC4 fan myself. What give you credit is that you're both an anime fan and a writer yourself, so your comparisons to DMC and Anime are justified because you know a great deal about both subjects. Your dislike for DMC4 stems from concern for the DMC series rather than the condescending need to bash it and I applaud you for that.

Space Adventure Cobra and that's where Dante's personality was from. I've seen it. Dante also has Alucard from Hellsing in him. His guns Ebony and Ivory are Alucard's guns and I can kind of draw a little relation to Trish and Dante being a little like Alucard and Integra to an extent. We can then draw so many connections from then on out looking through the sequels. Overall this doesn't make DMC terrible but it doesn't make it special either where I think people should stop giving DMC more credit than it deserves. The game was similar to Halo when it came to story foundation and world building. Halo is such a ripoff of so many things we've seen in sci fi already that it makes it such an obvious mix of ideas they took rather than creating an identity of its own. DMC did the same thing but with anime. It's a bundle of trite anime trends that we've seen already. Break it down, it's not really that special to begin with.

The only comparison of anime you can really make using DmC is the Hollow Vergil but then again your argument barely stands when you look at the context. Vergil is breaking down and is on a war path by the end of Vergil's Downfall. Having him fight against himself that way seems like the very obvious scenario to put in this story at one point. In Bleach, the situation was different and it's not like Bleach invented this or did it first. So many people beat that show to the punch.

I don't like Bleach anyway. I think it's highly overrated and I have more interest in the background characters than the typical anime hero the protagonist is. The only thing I actually like about Ichigo is that he's voiced by Johnny Yong Bosche. That dude is awesome and was my favorite Power Ranger growing up.

I don't mind DMC copying bleach or DmC copying Bleach. I just didn't like how DMC4 did it by letting the voice of Ichigo and Orihime voice Nero and Kyrie, Nero having to have a sort of big sword to katana transformation, the romance that kind of reflects Bleach with the Ichihime thing going on, and small other details.

At least with DmC, it may have had the look with hollow Vergil, but it didn't follow bleach completely. In Bleach hollow Ichigo submits his power to Ichigo, while in VD, Vergil takes it for himself. Something Ichigo's too shonen to do.

Though I won't deny that Hollow Vergil is definitely like Hollow Ichigo.

Pretty much this.

I don't generally want to hate DMC4, I just wish it did better. Of course if you think it did good, then I hope you have fun with it till your heart stops.^_^
