I so sick and tired of people saying I need to do better in job interviews when not one single job has called back! Who's fault is that? Mine! And a whole bunch of other bs. Like my hubby is supposed to teach me how to drive. Have to ask him. The kicker? It's his grandmother's car. So why do I have to ask? He is the one offering the leasons and I'm trying to accommodate their needs. But nope. You just don't want to do anything Chris because you're lazy and your feelings don't mean ****e. But oh boy if I point out their faults. I don't know jack and I'm being mean.....riiight.

So, why on earth did you feel inclined to answer "IDK", and proceed to go on with what one of your characters would do? I specifically said the name of his character--jesus, you're one of those people, aren't you? This should be fun...

I'm sick of tired of those always so against any change in entertainment that also just may contribute to diversity/representation based initially on their stupid idea that they think it's always just done to pander. Because to be right in your eyes is technically just always go in assbackwards. That's what is basically being said.

Don't you think that maybe, I don't know, a character was just done that way. That it isn't part of your stupid arbitrary conspiracy of feminism or whatever else you come up with is ruining entertainment. Not every female character is going to be wearing a skimpy outfit having breast as big as her head. And not fulfilling that image isn't someone ruining anything!

When I think about it, I want characters in entertainment to be written as people before anything else.

I may have been all over the place with this post because I'm a little bleh, but you see what I'm saying?

LOL! Personally I'm fond of "Surprise". xD And no, I guess we aren't. Makes you wonder how people do it. Characters are one thing; you either choose from a pre-existing name, or create one that's a variation of something you've heard before, even if you don't remember it. Places, however? Ugh.

Did you try to use similar method to how many of actual cities were named? Take something the town or the area it's built on is known for and maybe slap either city, burg or some other ending on it, depending on the part of the world. Sometimes names of saints can be used, or of old heroes. Old languages and archaic words can be of help too.

I've done that for cities, but I'm having a hard time coming up with names for countries. :S The main problem is doing this on a time limit, as I currently am. Usually I just wait for names to come to me and then make note of them. But I don't have the luxury of doing that, atm. :S

Sigh Mother loves to use my name to get what she wants. All the damn time. She did when I was little and now when she wants an apartment. She even says I have two kids in pre-school which I don't. And guess what she says to justify it all? I think I just made a writerly ranting journal.

You know, all that pent-up frustration you get from comments or reviews--whether the reviewer makes a good point or not, it makes no difference--that you just need to release in one, powerful surge of anger?

Better than unleashing this vitriol on them, right? Even the ones that do deserve it--it wouldn't bode well to bite their heads off; not if you intend to go into it professionally, at any rate. ^^;

But damn if you don't want to, sometimes. Especially when they come across like they're so much more experienced than you are. I may not have it all figured out, but it's been a part of me for a lot longer than I've been aiming for "success". First genuine effort does not equal first time writing, ever; last I checked, no writer--no matter how experienced--knows it all.
