-This happened like an hour ago-
I was sitting on my bed watching a video when I heard this weird sound, it sounded like a mix between a throaty scream of pain, someone trying to talk, and a donkey braying. It just sort of keeps going for a few seconds, stops, then starts up again.(Needless to say, the sound is very disturbing.)
I go outside to see what all the noise is about and find two people in my neighbor's backyard, one's kinda bent over while the other one looks like she trying console her. At first I'm confused but then I realize that the one who's bent over is making that noise and I recognize her. But as I'm figuring this out they are already walking to their front door, and before I get the courage to say anything, they walk inside. She was screaming off and on the whole time.
After that, I just kinda stood there, feeling ashamed of myself and guilty that I didn't say anything; or at least ask if she was okay.
The one who was making that sound was a neighbor of mine, I didn't see her go out much, she has a slightly deformed face and acts kinda off. But I never used to think much of it.
Now I'm back in my room, feeling the same shame and guilt of not doing anything, with this constant feeling of wanting to help, racking my brain for any idea or solution.
She's still screaming.
