  • Those celebrating Last Jedi sales, don't realize it's already effectively put a bullet in it's sequel's haead.

Couldn't agree more, Lain. I've never been a Star Wars fan, but TFA won me over and I adored Rogue One; I went to see TLJ with my bro-in-law and left entertained but very disappointed. I'm very on the fence as to whether to bother seeing whatever comes next as for me at least the characters that I loved in TFA were handled very poorly in the sequel. :(

thing is, due to amount of hate LJ got, it will backfire for next episode. Heard watchers dropped 42% on LJ after first week. I really hope it backfires on next one.

JJ Abrams is also very much a part of what went wrong with TLJ. He had access to the script as early as 2015, and stated that he only wished that "he could've been the one to direct it." The script had his approval, and considering how active his role in production as Executive Producer was, he enabled many of the problematic elements.
well last episode of Dr.Who was trainwreck. I don't expect much improvement from it :/

In tv you don't become a showrunner without prior expierence or you work your way up the ranks. Chibnall and Moffat had both and they are not likely give the job to someone without either.

I'm not saying its right or wrong or even that it works but thats how it is.

Im skeptical of chibnall too but im not gonna say he hasnt earned it.

In my opinion, if you getting leading part in show as big as doctor is, its not enough to have some experience. I dunno what Chibnail produced outside, but considering his run up until point, putting him in charge is unjustified decision.
So Spiderman Homecoming is completely new level of cringe...:(

@WolfOD64 there was ove interest, but they completely retconned MJ. I find there are extremely little action, extremely overdone attempt to shoehorn it into MCU and extremely bad slapstick comedy.

@DragonMaster2010 The reason I don't buy that logic is that I was able to enjoy the '94 Spider-Man with all of its camp and cheese as an adult, without any prior layers of nostalgia--because the supporting cast and characterizations were all the way the should've been. If Homecoming comes off as cringey, I doubt it stems from any viewer being "too old."

@Innsmouth A Spider-Man continuity without a proper love interest is a Spidey continuity I refuse to indulge in. That's probably the biggest thorn in Peter's tangle of personal life and responsibility. If they removed that, I will never watch it.
wonder if SC VI is just HD version of SCIII/IV. Visuals doesn't looks like this gen at all.
    x-men "returning§ to disney? RIP

I don't think it'll be bad. I mean, Marvel Studios may be under Disney, but they are still their own company, so FOX could still hold the rights to X-Men and could become FOX studios to produce their films.

Marvel gets most rules dictated by Disney, so I think it will have impact on whole universe. I don't think Disney would have had balls to produce Logan or Deadpool
after finishing cuphead I'm puzzled why it considered sooo difficult. Slain is much more challenging imho.

Well it comes as weird to me. I mean 90% of bosses clearly communicate their attacks. IT's not nearly on the level of games like Contra 4 that really put you into spin....I dunno

SFV Arcade edition is a thing now. Why I'm not surprised

Well good thing I knew it's gonna happen. I'm pretty sure MvC is completely pointless untill it's super arcade mega edition.

One of the reasons I like SoulCalibur so much (or at least, back when that series still existed) was precisely because I didn't have to buy twelve different updated versions of the same game.

Well I don't remember namco doing crap like this. Arc System and capcom on the other hand :/
TGS so far is probably weakest TGS I've seen since years.

I know :( I think whole remaster thing gets out of hand. I think it's time they finally do some new games instead of endless rehash.
So now DiCaprio may become Joker....Definetely better than Leto :/

Well for me he was just bland. That's one thing I can't really look over in Joker's actors. It's same problem I have with Joker in recent DCAU/ Young Justice.
    DragonMaster2010
    DragonMaster2010
By DCAU you mean like Killing Joke? I mean, yeah YJ Joker was just bad because he came off as way too calm as oppose to just creepy, but I think KJ was alright.

Yes I mean YJ. He was pretty terrible imho.
dunno about force, but milking is strong with Star Wars franchise.

And here's the thing: this isn't Disney's doing. They just bought the franchise, but aren't directly involved in the creation of content anymore than they are with Marvel Studios. This new direction is the result of the new management of LFL, being Kathleen Kennedy and the Lucas Story Group. THEY'RE responsible for this nostalgia-pandering and poor story ideas. It's THEIR job, not any corporate suit, to tell stories.
    WolfOD64
    WolfOD64
The result? One laughably-derivative & vapid SW movie, a decent but ultimately brainless action movie, a bland barrage of comics, some of the ABSOLUTE WORST SW novels I've ever beheld, and an exclusive video game contract with the worst company in America. Oh, bestill my boundless excitement as a fan! Now excuse me as I drown in my own vomit.

But Disney do intervenes with Marvel comics. They dectate they way it should create. Just like it's with SW. Why do you think they throwing their X-men tantrum around? IT's only started because Disney wants monopoly on everything.
bah. Dragons dogma is one hell of a bugged game. Please keep Itsuno away from RPGs as far as possible >:(

And it's not even just the textures, it's the models as well... So low poly, stiff (except during combat, combat looks great)... Just overall graphics reeking of hella outdated. I'm glad you like the visuals bit I absolutely cannot agree that it looks as good as DMC4, at all.
    WolfOD64
    WolfOD64
I mostly compare it to DMC4 based on how sprawling the backdrops look, which still hold up really well (as seen here: https://goo.gl/71fK8Y) The low poly count on characters seems to be most evident in things like hair and faces, and that's largely due to all NPC's being made from custom character assets, which themselves aren't too detailed to restrain graphical intensity for the console ports.
    WolfOD64
    WolfOD64
DMC4 really excels in character models, IMO, since each of of the principal cast were rendered and designed from scratch. Just look at the hair and faces of the DMC characters, and look back at Dragon's Dogma. Clearly, detail is granted to the former, because of the linear and constrained nature of the game. It looks more like an OG Xbox game than a PS2 one, tbh.
great now that Dr. WHo gone full SJW, Im dorpping it for good

It's just the camouflaged exterior that appears to be made of wood. When one of the companions brings up about how "wooden doors" wouldn't protect them, the Doctor retorts by saying that neither King Kong nor the armies of Ghengis Khan could brake them "and trust me, they've tried".
    WolfOD64
    WolfOD64
Ah, I see. Do forgive me if I'm not rehearsed on my lore...I've never really gotten into the series, and the only episodes I vaguely remember watching are from the Tennant Era back in '07-'08.

Oh I knew it wasn't really made of wood. I was just keeping up with the joke of the wooden acting etc.

Be funny if it was made of wood, though.
