I didn't see this coming indeed... looks like they insist in calling it a reboot still, while Shane Black insists in his sequel definition. Reminds me of the confusion around DmC the first times.

I don't even know why journalists keep ignoring that Shane himself calls it sequel (yes, "inventive" sequel, whatever that means, but sequel nonetheless), it's mind boggling to me.
