And how are you really fan of Dante if you prefer DmC Dante over him? Where is the line between "Like" and "Fan"?


If there is 100 spiderman made and you are fan of all of them - then whats the point of the word "fan" if you like all of them. Then it has lost it´s meaning.
And which of the 100 spidermans do you actively keep track of?

which is why people respect you tocool, because you are open-minded, you respect the opinions of others, and you don't try to shove what you beileve into everone else's face.

Tameem said Dante is no longer cool, that he would get laughed out in a pub in tokyo. He even said he didn´t care about fans reactions.
Hes shoving what he thinks is "cool" on every fan who likes Dante.

I already said the I prefer and will ALWAYS prefer the original Dante over this new one.

And I'm actually still more of a fan of the original Amazing Spider man. But I do like the Ultimate and 2099 versions alot also.

So I keep up with all 3 when I can but I still like the original more.

I'm a fan of the others because I'm a fan of the storylines,settings and characters.

I do not simply like them because they are versions of the original. If that where the case than I would be a fan of all the other countless spidermans

Well a "true fan" of a football team would've had to supported a team for over 100 years (that's in the uk)
I'll just say, my definition of a true fan (dmc-wise) is owning merchandise, buying the games, buying games that have dante in them (viewtiful joe, lucifer's call etc)

Well when it comes down to it This new Dante is just an expirement
Capcom is seeing what they can do with the character and changing him
but instead of implementing minor changes like they should have done they went way overboard

This is what I don't understand. 'Fans', who/what are they? Who gives someone the title of 'Fan'? I LOVE DMC, I LOVE DANTE (not in a gay-way). But am I 'fan' of DMC or DANTE? Hell No. You know why? 'Cause I refuse to give myself the title of being a 'fan'. Get my point? 'Fan' is a broad term. Also, a self-proclaimatory title. You can't judge who's a 'fan' and who's not based on how you look into things!

I like whatever I want cooldemon. So I think your constant ranting needs to stop. Maybe have some control over youself. It seems like the only game you own in dmc, which is cool, but as im a fan of many things, I have lots of games that dont include dante and I think everyone on this forum, except you, is ok with that.

the only problem i have is that yet again i say it
they said it was in a parallel dimension they never said it was non canon
this means that if an inter-dimensional gap is broken in a future dmc that means this Dante will probably be seen again

lol well i agree with dante_incognito to an extent. i mean "fans" is a self-proclaimatory term, but none the less that's the term we use to call ourselves. buuuuut i do believe there's no such thing as a "true" fan, if you like something you are a fan, and there are different extents of fandom, but think of it this way: if there are "true" fans that mean there must be "fake" fans....? lol

You missed my point. That post wasn't intended to tell if I was a fan or not. I was trying to say that, that the definition of 'fan' changes with perspectives of people. For some people, 'fan' means simply liking a given series/franchise/whatever. For some, 'fan' means more than just liking.

The problem is that this game is in the Devil May Cry series and does not include Dante
Imagine if the makers of halo were like "hey master chief isn't cool anymore lets make him a power ranger"

lol i would love that! jk, but that is a HUGE exageration. new dante is somewhat similiar to old dante, at least a little. a power ranger is nowhere near similiar to master chief lol
