One absolute reason why this is not a true DMC game

I voice my opinion as freely as anyone else here should. That you feel the need to shush me down is rather your problem, not mine. And I've already explained why I said what I said - it WAS rather ignorant to judge the game's overall graphics as poor when the first thing said in the trailer is that it shows footage of an incomplete game. Had he said "the graphics are poor in the trailer" then I would have agreed with him, but that is not what he said. And thus I find it ignorant, because it is.

I would never have said it was should he not have said it in the first place. But I can see why you would find it easier to put the blame on me. I've requested to get back on topic, yet you seem rather keen to continue this discussion with me - and you also seem to have a certain dislike for me with the whole "namely you" comment. For that I pity you.

Now, please stop derailing this topic any further, please. If you have an issue with me, write me a PM instead of filling up this thread with your endless need for telling people off with their opinions. It's rather disrespectful to the one who made this thread.

First of all I put the "namely you" part because you called his opinion ignorant earlier on this topic.

It was only to be used as a example of my point about people really should not throw insults at other people.

Like I asked you earlier can't you just voice your disagreement for someone else's post without insulting them?

You can simply Disagree with them or STRONGLY disagree with them but there is no reason to call other peoples posts dumb or ignorant.

And I am not trying to "shush" you I am only making a simple request thats all.

You said you wanted to know how this keeps happening and I pointed it out and also gave you a solution to avoid stuff like this happening in the future but you just keep ignoring and staying on the defencive.

And I would also like to point out i really do not dislike you or anyone on this forum.

Its just that whenever someone chooses to be disrespectful and not respect other's opinions I tend to feel the need to persuade them to try to do so. That way the future topics would not get derailed by arguments.

As I said there is really other ways of going about disagreeing with someone's opinion. But calling it stupid,dumb,ignorant,or gay really is not the way to go about it not to mention its pretty immature.

If you REALLY want this to be over then do not reply back simple as that.

Indeed, Dante has always had the demonic essence in him, but Vergil just helped him release it in DMC3.
He was never "made" into a demon. He always was a half-demon, his mother being human and his father being the demon Sparda. How it turns out to be in this game is something we have yet to see.

Hopefully Dante will have a demon form in this game, and not just turning white-haired. That would indeed be a disappointment. But I wouldn't want it to look like the demon form he had in DMC3 - I rather thought the design of that form to be ugly. My favourite demon form was that in DMC2 which I think I might already have stated once before...

We'll if this game is indeed a prequel story like some people seem to think I would have to say don't get your hopes up about seeing a Demon form Dante in this game.

That is assuming that if this is a prequel to DMC3 I would have to hope that they would have the right mind not to throw out contradictions such as having Dante have a full DT.

We'll like I said alot of people seem to be under the impression that this is a prequel wich is why I think it would be a bad idea for NT to include a full DT if this is indeed a prequel.

If it is not a prequel and is a full blown reboot then HELL YEA I would love to see a full DT form.

I really do not want the DT form to be just a white haired dante with a red coat since I already dislike the fact that he does not look like my favorite character and making this new Dante transform and use a similar color scheme sort of just felt like a slap in the face to me as a original Dante fan.
 
It could be a re-imagining, or it could be a prequel. Or it could be both.
From the looks of it, this is a story of not how Dante awakens to his demon powers and whatnot, but rather comes into the fact that he is half-blooded; ergo, the turning hair-white-thing and the changes in the environment around him, making it appear as if his coat has turned blood-red. I think this signifies, more than anything, his enhanced senses finally coming into play, rather than being simply passive notations like in the previous games, which, as I previously said, makes everything appear sharper and clearer.
 
OK we have established Dante was always a half breed. Also that this game appears to be taking a new direction from the rest of the series. That's basically all we know and you can't judge a book by its cover just as you can not judge a game by two short trailers. The game deserves a chance arguing about it does no good since we don't know enough to argue wait till the game comes out then play it then you will know the answer to your questions.

I personally can't believe that people need each post to start with "in my opinion" or something like that. Telling the difference between fact and opinion (even ones without the "imo" tag) really isn't that hard. I don't think people need to include a disclaimer of sorts in each post so people know its just their opinion so much as people not get so gosh darn upset about everything. Even if people say something is just their opinion people can and prolly will still get upset about it if its strongly worded enough. But I don't think the answer is to be passive and submissive with each post either. I think people just need to take a chill pill. OR! Take a lovely break from the forums. Its amazing how much little things can build up in you and you don't realize it until you leave for awhile. Worked for me. :)

Not a matter of being able to tell the difference its a matter of people getting their heads out of their asses and accepting that not everyone shares their views and no matter how times they repeat themselves they wont change someone elses opinion. They need to realise themselves that their opinion is not fact, i was thinking that it might be the only way to get it through some peoples skulls by repeating it in their own posts over and over until it sinks in.
 
I think its a reboot and this particular game takes the spot that DMC3 has as being the time Dante decided to start fighting for other people rather than himself a la a origin story. It probably will show us more of his past than before so we might actually know what sparda and eva actually look and sound like. Plus we might actually know how Dante lived during the ten years between when his mom dying and the events of DMC3.

Ideally, its a mix of the DMC3 prequel, DMC3 itself and the original DMC1 light novel without it being 100%. Think it of it being like batman Begins.
 
We do and we dont. We only know what we have been told thru dante's memories of them and thru the legends and speculation of Arkham and the order and most of it can't be trusted.

i think it would be interesting to see what they really look like or act like when they were alive. Plus Im pretty sure Sparda look differently then Vergil playing dress up in his clothes. And lets hope he is different than Dante was in 4.

we know what Sparda looks like because you can unlock Sparda when you get to Legendary Dark Knight mode in Devil May Cry1 and because of the alternate costumes in DMC3. we know what Eva looks like because Trish looks just like Eva and because of the picture on Dante's desk. we don't know anything about their personalities but we know what they look like (unless NT retcons what everybody looks like).

but the main thing is that neither of them were actually them or how they were when they were alive . They were just Dante and Trish trying to be them which is different tan the general article.

different in behavior but not in appearence.
