I have class as well tomorrow, but it starts as 11:20. It's meant to be.

I'm just now catching the stream from today and I notice something...

...was Neo Dante's amulet always blue?

I knew it had something to do with that mission from "The Plan". Mostly because of the one image of Tim and Sage in thr modcap.

I dunno, this just seems like the exact poses they were in at the very end of the game, where Dante said he didn't know how he was anymore. Really just have to flip it, which is super easy to do in post.

But Kat wasn't touching Dante's back, she was touching his cheek then his chest while standing in front of him.

I'm sure they did several takes before settling on the cheek touch.

...was Neo Dante's amulet always blue?

I don't have a screenshot at hand to back up my claim but no?

If it wasn't red before, I would've noticed it. I hope.

I actually welcome the hard lock, if it allows me to perform directional inputs the classic way. Having to move the stick forward twice felt REALLY awkward to me.
It was similar to Nero's Shuffle, where you had to move the stick backwards and then forward, and then attack. I didn't like that. But at least Nero actually does a backwards and forward movement in Shuffle, so at least I have a visual match to the controls.
Dante in DmC instead, does not move forward twice when I input Stinger for example, so I don't even have that match between controls and visual, which contributes to the sense of awkwardness.

No, I didn't like the directional inputs from DMC3 and DMC4. I think it was time they updated how you input moves. It felt clunky to me that some of your moves are restricted to certain directions. Depending on Dante's position and depending on your camera perspective Dante coulnd't use those moves in any situation.

The gameplay felt clunky to me to prevent you from using something like High Time from in front of the enemy, because Dante would use Stinger instead. Things like that felt to restrictive too me.

Something like Stinger from previous games was only avaliable in the forward direction, or reverse Stinger. But in DmC Stinger will work in any direction. Any direction is Foward, Forward because Dante is the focus of the camera. The camera is not based on fixed perspectives like the previous games, which felt clunky to me.

DmC incorperated a system similar to Bayonetta, where you can use any move in any direction at anytime. There was no need to restrict Dante's moves to certain directions. It was pure smooth transiting from move to move.

While I'm not criticising you, I'm giving my opinion on why I felt DmC's system worked better, but still in need of improvements.

For today's stream:
Boss rush of all bosses(Except for Vergil and Hollow V.), on GMD with Hardcore mode enabled.

I would totally be down for a boss rush if that were a thing.

...That's not a thing, right?

::Edit::

Alternative idea though: Heaven or Hell + Must Style = ???

I think Heaven or Hell + Hardcore + Must Style would be cool since you could kind of control how long you're fighting by letting the gauge fall quickly, but decide to end it quickly if you really want to. It would probably be more fun if you could do it per-enemy.

In fact, that's not a terrible idea for a videogame in itself- have enemies only die if you kill them in an interesting way.

So Vergil's now a ****ing beast in the boss fight. But I feel like they turned down his defense for more offense.

Oh, so that's the problem I somewhat had. He takes hits a number of hit before blocking it each time you strike him (so far anyway), but I was surprised that he now teleports around more, repeats the same attack incase you dodge the first, and using close melee attacks. He will take half or 1/3 of the life bar away, plus without Super Dante, you have to watch him CAREFULLY.

This is going to be difficult. Especially with Hardcore mode and Must Style included.
