Different Rank Graphics?

Yeah, staff and supporter ranks would definitely be changed to something better, but I haven't really managed to come up with a decent idea on that front.
 
@Steve:

Would it not be best to combine the two lists?

  1. Legendary Dark Knight!!!
  2. SSStylish!!!
  3. SShowtime!!
  4. Son of Sparda!!
  5. Smokin'!
  6. Alright!
  7. Dark Slayer!
  8. Brutal!
  9. Carnage!
  10. Deadly!
  11. Extreme!
  12. Far Out!
  13. Devil Hunter!
  14. Groovy!
  15. Hectic!
  16. Intense!
  17. Nnnnewb!

So that the 'difficulty' ranks are almost like a milestone between the 'stylish' ranks?

EDIT: and to remedy the Supporter and Staff badges, couldn't you keep them the same, but change the order that the badges appear?

ie.

Currently: Supporter (top), Staff (middle), Rank (bottom)
Change to: Rank (top), Staff (Middle), Supporter (bottom)

That's not a bad idea at all. Although, perhaps we could shift the Darkslayer, Son of Sparda, Devil Hunter ranks and whatnot to the very top? We kinda have the whole alphabetical ordering thing going on there and I'm kinda fussy like that. To be honest, though, I wish I'd thought of combining the two. I'm all for it. =]

I was actually thinking we could use the Darkslayer, Devil Hunter, Legendary Dark Knight ranks as titles for supporters, staff and admins, but I like your idea a lot better. In fact, I don't particularly like my idea so much now... ^_^

If memory serves... I believe the ordering of the ranks is down which of 'em appears first alphabetically, so unless we rename 'em accordingly then it's going to be a bit hit 'n' miss as to when certain ranks appear above others.

I smell what you're cooking. One thing I am looking to do with the old supporter, staff graphics is update them to something more befitting. Perhaps I could copy the official Devil May Cry font and we could have "Supporter", "Staff", etc, written in that font? I reckon we could even wrangle that blue outline of Nero (see forum header graphic) into it too.

Probably didn't explain half of what I said all that well... but I'm ill and quite with it today. :(

I think Quality is the only option for Q :D
 
"N"'s already taken, sadly. :( Maybe we could use "Uber Newb"? Then again, I don't think people would enjoy having a massive "Newb" rank below their name - would probably put people off posting.
 
After playing Unreal Tournament i thought that Masterful is a little low down. you know that Masterful is a great hard piece to finish in UT >.< but still this is DMC right? I like the alphabetic order but then we must get something that sounds better for every letter that goes up right?

Now i'm not that good at getting ideas when they must begin with a special letter.

I totally, totally agree. Sadly, coming up with words that denote superiority over the previous words as they descend the alphabet is easier said than done.
