Reviewers half of the time don't even know half of the words they are phrasing from their speech brain parts.

I somewhat agree.......a little......

And I know DMC was out before GoW. The fact is, I hear alot more hype over GoW games than ANY DMC games. Even my non gaming parents knows what GoW is. I actually dont know anyone who likes DMC beside me. Thats why I joined DMC.org.

Also, despite reviewers being bull, they have alot of clout. Many times, the gaming industry flows with mainstream reviewers. They are like the Supreme Court judges of gaming.

I'm aware of the team alteration, thank you. However the mastermind of DMC was still at the front. A game's release date may not affect hype but it does affect markets. On top of this GoW is an 18 certificate whilst there's no age restriction as to who can buy DMC so sales are going to be less anyway aren't they. I have already said that it was quite a hodgepodge of games so don't talk to me about originality. Besides you don't always need something really original for it to be good and conversely, when something is too 'out there' it can be detrimental to its sales. As for your comment about the reviewers, you're basically classing anyone who disagrees with you as lying scum.

Then what does a publisher's decision have to do with the original team making it? It's like Sony telling Sonta they can no longer produce;making fans out-raged (as seen) and having a pile of horse tripe instead from an alternate design team. Kobayashi put DMC3 on track again. Kenzo Tsujimoto made the choice; he's the sole responsibility from Capcom's CEO, NOT the team that were assisgned. His intention was to garner greater profit which plumitted. And to answer you; there's isn't any specific mastermind behind any acts.
18 certificate doesn't stop teenagers purchasing the game, infact it makes them want it more; I work part-time in college at GameStation and see parent's either buying or kids getting away with it anyway. Either do the staff really care; more profit. Along with DMC games being rated usually at 16 +
Also, don't put words in my mouth.
Let's take IGN; they rated GTA 10/10 before it's released date, judging on series titles before actually reviewing them. I'd rather take notice from user reviews than stuck-up snobs that are total hypocrits.

The only reviews I've actually seen, were user reviews - the only one worth watching. Oh, and I like GTA SA over GTA IV.

Devil May Cry was released in 2001. God of War in 2005. How on Earth GoW fans can outnumber DMC fans...

As Dante would say...

'...I fail to see the logic...'

...I fail to see the logic in THAT. Timeframe hardly plays a part. You should know that.

God of War storyline isn't even interesting. It's a 'What If?' perspective on Greek Mythology, and such games aren't impressive
Really? Isn't DMC a "What if" perspective on our world with wolrd saving demons in it?

Everything is a "What if" perspective; that's what stories are for basing around our own world. DMC is generally a more popular series; it seem's more interesting.

I dunno. GoW is alot more popular than DMC. Thats just the way it is.

Then why hasn't it sold more? Popularity is usually based on sales.

Well, DMC was out FIRST. Overrall, GoW is more popular than DMC. I keep myself quite updated on current gaming. Also, sales really doesnt impact popularity. Yazuka, for example, is popular. It has a cult following. However it really didnt sell well at ALL.

What does DMC being out first have to do with anything? The amount sold each title is the important aspect. DMC has a 10 million record under it's belt. GoW has sold 3 million. DMC1 defined a genre and did something unique. Sale's ARE what define popularity; otherwise I may aswel say Halo isn't popular when it immensely is. I'm quite updated myself, but Yakuza is barely noticable compared to bigger titles/it's a spec.

Dude, people also considers GoW a epic as well as unique. Just read any mainstream gaming magazine. I'm not knocking DMC (I do love it) but ppl here need to stop acting like GoW is some typical action game. It has been genre-defining for a long time. It is just as epic and unique as DMC.

I love Devil May Cry, but I admit that God of War is better in lots of other things. I couldn't not be saying the truth if I chose one of them, so I leave it as it is. Especially since DMC4 came, GOW became even better in my eyes.

Dude, Devil May Cry has been, is, and will be over God of War. Mediocre games like that are just like a straw fire.

That's only your opinion mate. And stop trying to make everyone believe that your opinion is the "truth". Everyone's opnions differ. I may love pacman more than Dante, so what?

I put my arguments there If you wanna see. So far, your opinion is just that God of War is better than Devil May Cry, which really doesn't count, If you don't have arguments to sustain It.

I never said that either. You probably did not even a good look to what I said:P
My words stated that I cannot choose and that GOW is better in many points, not better overall^_^. You should try to read what the other has to say before starting something as serius as an argument. I'm saying this on friendly terms, as in the other threads, an argument about one of your misreads (Sparda's brother etc) lasted two pages and led the topic to lock (of course you're not the only one at fault, I'm just saying) ;)

Carry on people^^
+1 to what Bringer said!
