I didn't know Adam Driver was in Devil May Cry.
The trailer was nice. The music is okay but is underwhelming compared to Devil Trigger.

Oedipus Complex confirmed!
DMC5 Trish description :
Fiendish Femme Fatale
>An alluring demon resembling Dante's mother Eva in appearance.
>Once an enemy of Dante's, she changed her ways when he saved her life, becoming a partner of sorts to the Devil Hunter.
>Fickle by nature, the exact nature of their relationship remains a mystery. "

So yes after all these years, Dante is in love with his "Mom".

PS: Apparently Trish "ships" Dante and Lady in the Audio Drama CD 1 , making fun of Lady being "clumsy" and Dante being "dense" regarding each other.Strange thing for someone to ship her lover with another woman, but oh well...

I'm not sure how that confirms Dante has an Oedipus Complex.
Btw, I always found that term to be rather inaccurate given that Oedipus ripped out his own eyes after finding out the woman he slept with was his mom.

Man, Freud was a hack

Considering that Mary is wearing Dantes exact clothing from 4, Id say thiers more chance of him and lady being something than him and Trish plus Trish and Dante would be wierd imho.

I really am getting burned out on the whole 'we're always broke' concept. It's lost it's charm to me. In one or two games, that's fine, but we're not getting these every 2 years anymore. It's 10 years later and all I can think of 'really? Are we still doing the same shtick?' It was one of my least favorite aspects of the anime and I don't care for it now. I'm not saying do a complete 180 but a change of pace would be nice.
Yeah, I can agree with this. Dante’s perpetual poverty is almost as bad as Spider-Man’s.

Lady looks ok, though she looks really asian now. It's also very obvious that they made her chest noticeably smaller than last time. I have a little sister who didn't start filling up till she was 16. Since her older sister is so far away she tends to confide in me so I know how angry she'd be if she woke up one day with a significantly smaller bra size. She might start demanding God for some explanation. In fact, when I proposed the concept I think her exact words were... Anyway, she looks ok, that expression is not doing her any favors but she looks generally ok in every other capture. Although, I have to admit, the only thing I could think of when scrolling down the high res render of this key art, right after 'that is a really nice shirt,' was: 'those look really uncomfortable.' It's not even that they, themselves on their own look uncomfortable, but when you add the rider chaps, it just looks really uncomfortable to wear and I can't stop wondering if she needs some talcum.

I got such a Power Ranger vibe out of this scene. The design is great but the actual movement and poses and the way he drew the sword all reminded me of the Power Rangers and I didn't think it was fitting.
Actually considering how many Power Rangers alumni have been involved with Capcom, this might be more fitting than you think.

I like how it's "Dante's trailer" but Nero still makes up half of it. Seems about right...

Not a fan of the gauntlet design, or the DT design. I hope each weapon gives him a new look, or if they bring back Alastor or a similar weapon that has a knight design to it's DT.

What kind of old ladies have you met? The ones I know don't look anything like Trish.
Just don't check 4chan/v/, they found everything and everybody who they think to look like Trish.

Never it was confirmed they had a thing going on and lately Trish is seen shipping Dante/Lady but it's possible people who are in charge of this game maybe have different ideas and take another route, since the "nature of their relationship is mysterious" was never mentioned before and sure it rings some bells.

Oedipus was the only guy who had done everything to avoid sleeping with his mother and even so had his name blemished. Lol

Calling it " the 75% dante, 20% nero and 5%V trailer" doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

What are we, a kingdom hearts spinoff?
If Nero’s part is 30 sec, and the trailer is 3:10 then more accurate percentage would be 10.16666...% (the dot dot dot implies infinite progression since we can’t put lines on top of numbers to suggest as we would in regular mathematics). Now, just add just add some seemingly random but cool sounding words that will later prove to be integral to the game and we have ourselves a KH title.

Dante gameplay, slight spoilers at the end for those who did not get the game ruined for you by the leaks.

Pretty damn sure that awful theme is getting changed since Dante uses Devil Trigger now.

But oh my Trish........:inlove::inlove: finally giving me what I've always wanted.

You must be fun at parties.

I'm pretty disappointed with that gameplay video of Dante... but that's purely due to the style system.
I still hope they've done SOMETHING to address the issues involving style switching and controls. Its been 10 damn years, they must've done something.

No kidding. If not, I'm hoping there's some way to "remove" the style system via mods or applications. I really don't want to deal with it at all.

I don't even mind if they kept the basic system the same, one of the greatest things about DMC3 was that the levels&enemies were designed in such a way that that you could pass the mission using just one style. In DMC4 , either you learned how to Tric-Swo-Tirc-Gunslinger your way through the game or you'll have a bad time.

Capcom didn't learn jacks*** from their collaboration with Ninja Theory.

All they borrowed is mostly the aesthetics, like slow motion when you defeat the last enemy.
While DmC Dante could use a little more refining, the schemes used to access his moves are very functional.
DMCV Dante is back to being a toggle-heavy bastard, where you need to constantly keep track of what "Style" you're on.
When playing DMC4:SE, I always find Nero and Trish to be the more pleasant characters to play as, since you don't need to toggle anything and every move is available without keeping track of what mode or even weapon you're currently using.

While Ninja Theory utilized L2 & R2 to regulate Dante's moves on the fly, Capcom goes backwards into wasting them into "weapon toggle" buttons.
Nero is even worse, where R2 is totally unused.

My previous speculation that you can run while locked-on is totally wrong, since that was really just a fancy dodge animation.
So looks like Capcom still don't f***ing get it.

From trailer it seems Dante still has his Rebelion weapon, so apparently his story ends with "prologue" section in the beginning of the game. Or so itseems.

Apparently not. When he frees Trish he is using Sparda.
