    @LordOfDarkness If someone has a personal preference or disdain towards something they consider bad enough to use as a standard of comparison, it isn't slander. Me comparing later DMC on plots to the narrative holocaust that was DMC3 has never been marked as slander.

    SW fans constantly & obsessively comparing the prequels to the original films has never been considered slanderous. And comparing R1 to TFA is a relevant discussion considering they're movies released within a year of each other.

    Seen TFA. I'm no hardcore Star Wars fan, and even I can see how it doesn't feel much like an SW movie at all. Also, Rey is a BS character.

    @Viper I won't hold anything against you since you've stated yourself you aren't a SW fan. That's fine, but I feel obligated to point out that there are a plethora of excellent female characters in the SW universe. Women that are well-written, sympathetic, relatable....

    ...and most importantly, fallible. Even my #1 SW villain is female. Gender was never of relevance when Rey was concerned, only how abysmally she was written. Also, I too lament this generation's lack of effective female action heroes. In the 80's we had Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor. This generation we have ScarJo's "Lucy." :P

    @LordOfDarkness My thoughts exactly. I'm overjoyed we can at least reach common ground there. I was very excited when I saw Rey; got major Bastilla vibes when early in the film...until it continued, and things grew worse. Now, my favorite of these new Star Wars heroines is Hera from Rebels, mostly because I think her personality as the "Mom" of the Ghost crew is utterly adorable. :3

    Finally started to watch Star Wars. I'm liking them overall, but I ain't hopelessly hooked on it like so many people are. Not yet at least.

    Star Wars is okay. I love watching them, but I wouldn't say it's the best movie franchise out there.

    I agree with LordOfDarkness, Star Wars is decent but if I'm gonna watch a Space Opera then I'd go with something like Gundam.

    @Blackquill In terms of Japanese Space Operas, Macross and Legend of the Galactic Heroes really take the cake. Absolute classics. As for Star Wars, well...I've been a rabid SW nerd for half my life, so I can't give an unbiased opinion on it.

    Something to do with the way the audio is compressed though most people I know haven't noticed it, update will come next week to rectify any issues people have had apparently.

    I can understand why they would compress it for digital version to make file size smaller but odd that they would have to compress disc version when original was on DVD disc & XB1 & PS4 use Blu Ray discs.

    This SE is ****ed up. There are bugs that were either fixed in the original version (!!!) or left alone, botched performance on powerful systems for some, and now turns out even the audio is worse. Jesus God. With what face are they selling this for 40 euros with such preposterous problems at launch.

    Skyrim Special Edition is still as bugged as the original. The unofficial patch mod had to be redone to fix it. C'mon Bethesda. Just c'mon.

    2K ended TRS' contract on Evolve mid way to its full F2P release. The game is truly over now. A punch in the face for both devs and fans.

    I don't know if that's the main problem, because they aren't shutting the servers down. Just getting TRS out of the project and moving it internally. With no further updates planned for now. Basically dropped support.
