    Lucifer/Satan - the true enemy

DmC's canon states that Sparda was one of the Devil King's as well, meaning he was of the same rank as Mundus. So it's not "everyone under Mundus, the Devil King", it was "these two Devil Kings were buddies and teamed up on everyone else, until Sparda decided the redhead was worth breakin' the...

Just curious, but does anyone still believe that silly "Nero being Vergils son" theory?

What demon chick? You mean Alice? Because she was a HUMAN who made a deal with demons, she was never a demon herself, and Vergil outright said that she was trying to grow up too fast and be like all the "painted whores". Which says a lot there for his opinion of human women and girls. Then...

    Yamato is a No-Dachi

Sephiroth's Masamune from FF7 is a No-dachi, it's a calvery sword, has a seven foot blade length and a two foot long handle, Yamato is an o-katana; or essentially a hand-and-a-half version of a Katana with longe rblade and a bit of extra length to the handle

    DmC 2

They commented that how RE6 was handled had been a BAD call(really? only 150 inhouse staff and 450 OUTSOURCED?!), however even still they say that the collaberation with NT went very well and they look forward to more projects in the future. So it's possible not all of the western collaberation...

    I don't see how Donte's a douchebag.

I see more the reboot of DC universe after Crisis on Infinite Earths; The look and some history stayed the same, but sone important details did get changed.

http://www.thegamingliberty.com/2011/08/dante-speaks-an-interview-with-reuben-langdon/ Right there " I’m not involved so I can’t say much but because I was involved in 3 and 4 I do know the history and that 3 was a reboot of the series. The new game is that as well"

NOt only that, the same artbook, which was released after years of fandom "surity" that Nero was Vergil's son, in fact says that Nero is *A* child of Vergil. that implies more than one. When in the short span of time he MIGHT have had, being Vergil was 10 when Nero would have been born, did he...

Yeah. the expanded materials for DMC1 reference vergil being gone since they were 8, and even after Nero Angelo took his helmet off, Dante still did not recognize him until that amulet fell. That suggested it had been a LONG while since he'd seen his brother and knew who it was. Like, long...

Exactly. When you do a massive restart of the canon like that, even as similar as it is to the original established story, it's a reboot. Since DMC1's story was that Dante had not seen Vergil in 20 so years, while in DMC3, they seeme dto have been running into each other now and then...DMC3 was...

Actually the story of DMC1 Vergil was "Mundus captured and brainwashed him since 8" as hinted at by the novel and as given in information provided by Kamiya. DMC3 changed that entire aspect, so yes, it was a reboot.

There's also the flawed interprication that Vergil is just so poorly misunderstood and did nothing wrong even though he made it clear he wouldn't care if the human world burns so long as he gains the power to overcome his own weaknesses and flaws. He's a villian, but a tragic one. I mean, this...

    I don't see how Donte's a douchebag.

Let's get nitty gritty then. DMC3 was a reboot of DMC1, it drastically changed the backstory between Dante, Vergil, and the way Vergil came to serve Mundus as Nero Angelo. So therefore...there's THREE Dantes. DMC1 and 2+Novels, DMC3and4+following media, and then DmC. Which means technically...

No, that makes him a reimagination and independent rendition of a character even Capcom keeps reimagining every time they do something with the series. You assume everyone started with the oriuginak, DMC series. There are a lot of people I've met who only know the old series as a result of the...

    I don't see how Donte's a douchebag.

But what if someone was introudced to the series BY the Reboot, and thus knows NT Dante as their Dante, and then learns of original series? Thus you'd confuse them and then THEY would argue with you on how to term the Dantes. It's like Coca Cola Classic and New Coke; it's called Classic not to...
