lol it was a nice thought what about my question earlier about giving an upload file option to private conversations instead of just threads

Was not aware regular members didnt have this option as the option is there for me in conversations.

Have to see what Steve says and if there is any reasoning for regular members not having the ability, like I said its news to me as its always been there for me in the quick reply at bottom.

This is going to sound silly, but I can't use the new emotes and is the 'post' thingy meant to look this blank?
Above the old comments it had text options, but there's nothing here, is this what it's like for everyone else, only, I don't even know where to find the new emotes...

If so, I will go punch Steve in the face for a bit and see if that makes any difference.

Hi VB. Steve here! Hello! Could you try the following potential fix for me:

1. Go here: http://devilmaycry.org/account/preferences
2. Uncheck the 'Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages' option, hit 'Save Changes'
3. View any thread (a page refresh might help) and have a gander at the quick reply box
4. If the options haven't returned, recheck the rich text editor option above before viewing/refreshing a thread

Fingers crossed, that'll do the trick. Bit of a strange one, really. If that doesn't have you sorted, I'll have a look into what else can be done. Good luck!

Well I've tried it, aaand it hasn't worked. I've got a feeling it's a problem with my browser. It's been complaining that Java is out of date (it's not), something about Adobe player and that Internet Explorer is old (it's not)... basically nothing has been right since 8.1. Can any of those things affect forum stuff?

Have you tried updating them all, I find the forum experience differs from browser to browser and depending on what versions of the browsers you are using.

I must admit. I did just post a reply on a thread and a smilie actually appeared (but the comment box is still plain).
