Not entirely sure what the point was of the Prime Minister's address last night. Nothing has actually changed - kids still off school, businesses still shut and we can't socialise. 7 weeks of waiting for that?

Nah.

All I heard was... you can go out... but you cant go out out, you can go to work... but only if you can go to work and you must socially distance in the workplace but only if its possible to do so. You can travel but dont use public transport but cycle and walk and you drive wherever you want but most places are still closed. Plus you can play sports with people in your household and sit in a parks for as long as you want but cant see any other close family but you can work with hundreds of other employees and socially distance but only if possible.

The slogan isn’t stay at home any more. So we don’t have to say at home. Except we do. Unless we can’t. In which case we should go out. But there will be even larger fines now if we break the rules. So don’t do that. Perfectly clear... Good :banghead:

I can't remember the last time I felt properly awake and energized. The fact that it's been unseasonably cold for May might have something to do with it, but I suspect current events play a bigger part... :cautious:

+Much as I'm enjoying AC: New Horizons, I really miss playing BotW. Maybe I'll pick it up again, at least once a day. I miss Link.

Have you seen the Matt Lucas take on the whole thing? Made more sense that Bojo did...

I did see it and yeah it definitely did.

I wonder if you have to take a language course to be a politician as they seem to be able to speak for long periods without actually saying ANYTHING and just circle around with statements and rinse and repeat the same jargon that means nothing and answers nothing.

Gods, I don't know who this particular politician is, but he sounds a lot like Trudeau... >.>

CT: There's something comforting in the knowledge that, while some people still subscribe to one school of thought or another, there are those finally waking up and realizing there's a lot more than just those two choices. Gives me hope that maybe everything that's been going on in certain communities will change, even if it takes awhile to get there.

He's our Prime Minister...before that he was Mayor of London and before that...well...he presented and was a panellist on a satirical political game show called Have I Got News For You.

I still can't figure out how to feel about him. He's odd.

In other news, my Minecraft house looks amazing

Thinking about starting a game of The Forest and building a nice log cabin in the woods purely for the views im not frequently getting while sat in the office at work and at home in this Groundhog Day scenario.

Might have to dodge the odd cannibal here and there but only like dodging the odd weirdo neighbours at home or the supervisors at work.

C'mon, proof... Please get here soon. I need to know you look right in paperback. Also because I want to do a pic so the raffle entrants can see all they're getting together, since I won't be able to order author copies until the launch itself).

"When we have a lot of cases, I don't look at that as a bad thing, I look at that as, in a certain respect, as being a good thing, because it means our testing is much better."

"I view it as a badge of honor, really, it's a badge of honor."

How's this utter buffoon President of the United States again?

Be nice if people didn’t treat that I’m a key worker as an excuse to come up to me and ask/request things. Yes I am currently working around loads of people, but no I am not immune to this disease just because I have to be around said amount of people. I am just as vulnerable as the next person to catching it, so please just keep away like we’re meant to be doing anyway.

@Foxtrot94 He's about as useful as a condom made of swiss cheese. "It's a badge of honour"; if his incompetence needs further honouring, then sure. :meh:

Ache-y. T-T Sure would be nice if I had $300 to waste on a doctor visit for the 5% chance of being taken seriously and maybe getting meds. As it is...wish I could sleep. T-T

I agree with him on more testing is a good thing. It is. The more we test, the closer we are to a variety of ways to kill the virus.

As for the badge of honor thing... it's marketing. But, at the same time... China wants to kill people who speaks out to their plans. You are a dissident in China, CCP wants a word with you in their torture chamber. You are NBA, and spoke out? China wants to infect you. You're the president? And you spoke out? China wants to infect you. Thing is. They want to make an example of people who speak out.

They killed their own people for christ's sake! You can't protest against CCP. This virus was not an accident.
