Well, at least I've hit my word goal for the week.

In other news, kiddo's March Break (which is usually only a week) has been extended to April 6th, for obvious reasons. ._.

Teaching myself texas hold 'em poker today.

I could do the washing, clean the bathroom, empty the bins, sort the clothes out, wash dishes, get the shopping done...but no.

Priority number one today is learning the game, challenging my 8 year old and then robbing him blind. He may have mastered blackjack but I will end him at poker.

Alright people, I'm back home now, Tokyo was wonderful, even though many things were closed and still are till the 15th.
Overall I felt safer over there then I do here in germany...
Oh yeah and I'm not allowed to leave the house for 14 days now, fun times ahead I guess.

A fancy clinic popped out of nowhere in the business district area of my town.

Like, seriously. Out of nowhere.
It doesn't even look "makeshift" or anything and has a fancy sign that lets people know they are available for screening and vaccination.

I'm curious about what red dead 3 is gonna look like.

People want you to play as the Calendar brothers but I want to play as Uncle. (Half serious).

Granted i don't know if another prequel would work. I feel like you'd have to bite the bullet and just do a jack marston game.

Say what you will about Ryse: Son of Rome, but it absolutely puts to SHAME all those developers who can't make a game run fluidly, even if it's not open world. Absolutely granitic framerate, just refuses to drop, ever, despite the game looking near photorealistic.

More devs need to emulate this kind of optimization. Also more devs need to make games set in ancient Rome that are not strategy games, for the love of God. Romans were badass, ok? Make more action games with them, PLEASE.

You just reminded me of something I saw on YouTube awhile back. I can't remember the name of the developers running it, but instead of using polygons, they use atom-sized spheres in the construction of avatars and environment--and there's absolutely no lag. Graphically, it doesn't look as sophisticated yet (or at least it didn't when last I saw), but with the right financial backing, they could break the mold in the gaming world.

CT: No, brain--we do not need to order in tonight. We have food. Yes, we're sick of cooking, and yes, we want the fattening things because hormones--but we do not need them.

Man I'm grlad I came back on friday... seeing how the situation is evolving.
In other news, my friend (who was with me in Tokyo), was tested negative, wich means I'm not being tested for now (I wasn't allowed to due to not having any symptoms and all that).

Well I'm working from home for the time being (14 day self quarantine and all) and hoping this whole thing is going away as fast as can be.

On another topic: Working in 3D and writing my story really helps me getting back in the groove and man do I need to finish some of these projects...

Managed to find lentils! Yay! Now I can eat during the impending lockdown without it getting mad expensive.

Was walking down the road earlier with a pack of kitchen roll under my arm...genuinely wondered for a split second whether I'd get mugged...

Daughter moved back in - again - and now my computer has been commandeered and she's ruining my Destiny 2 profile.

Cat isn't even under quarantine and she's already lost her mind. Has spent last 15 minutes staring intently at the corner. There is nothing there.

Also, in other equally unrelated news, I adore McCoy's Muchos.

Honestly, I'm surprised it took me this long to have my first night terror since the hub left. New version, too; can't say I've ever had one where I was trying to wake up to stop the horrible sound the animatronic head on the dining table was making. Usually it's just to get away from the shadow looming over me. I think the renewed interest in FNaF might be getting to me... :cautious: Also had my first auditory hallucination in a while. Now I know I haven't gotten enough sleep this past week...

Last night, I finished Castlevania season 3 and I enjoyed it. I'm super excited/curious about what their take on DMC is gonna be.

Who knows Warren Ellis could get me to actually like Nero.

Third times the charm y'all

Schools are closing.

Excuse me while I smash my face repeatedly into the nearest wall for the next 3 to 6 months.
Bro... Why are you complaining? 15 year old me would be like "YAY! I GET TO PLAY MODERN WARFARE ALL DAY!"

15 year old me slept through classes. 15 year old me wanted class to be over so I could go off campus and chill with my friends.

15 year old me was sick? I gladly slept in, and played my favorite games.

My twenties were spent playing COD4: Modern Warfare until 2AM in the morning, not giving 2 ****s about school.
