I've never gotten these puritans' reasoning, according to which sex for pleasure is a prerogative of animals, a sin, and we should only bang to procreate. It's complete backwards nonsense, animals are the ones that have popping out offspring as their main drive for sex, whereas erotism is a purely human characteristic.

As soon as I'm done reading this book, I'm taking a break. This reading slump needs to run its course without me feeling like I have to push through it. >.>
+That was actually a pleasant visit. Still, I'm going to have to guard myself around her regarding a certain touchy subject, but I think I can cope with it better than I could before. That's something, at least. Real talk: I hate when I become acutely sensitive to certain things and it ruins the whole social aspect for me. I don't seem to have an in-between where these things are concerned. I feel everything or nothing at all. ._.

Damn it, NaNo updated their site. I mean, cool and all, but now all my friends--and I had precious few on there--are gone. Looks like they merged NaNo and Camp NaNo, because now it's showing 0 for my summer projects when I otherwise completed them/came close. >.< Hopefully this can be fixed...

I'm frustrated about this, as well! It really blows. >_< -had to delete the glitched projects- I'm really bummed about not being able to see who all my buddies used to be?? It's been a pain to figure out who everyone is again. @_@

Imagine you have homework every day for a month, no breaks and no rest. If you miss a day, you have double homework the next day. Inside you are screaming. Outside, you might be screaming, too; more likely crying. Words are torment. You question why you're doing this. You don't understand why you don't just quit. Everything hurts but somehow you're also having fun. You reach the end, feeling strangely high and dazed. The adrenalin rush is so strong and the previous month is so hazy that you immediately forget all the pain and agony you've endured. You were productive. You want to do it again after a quick nap. You cannot escape.
(Kidding, kinda. It's stressful, but it's fun if you like challenges and don't mind a lot of stress. If you're not in a good mindset for it, it's kinda hellish? But it's really good if you have a support system and really need to make progress on stuff. And it is weirdly addicting.)

@V's patron All of what Shadow said, lol. The funny thing is, I can be super productive when it isn't NaNo, so I'll be like, "Sure, why not? I was going to write, anyway"... Only to watch my productivity slip as soon as NaNo starts. xD Save for one Camp NaNo though, I've managed to hit all my goals. Regular NaNo is a set 50,000 words; Camp NaNo is a lot more forgiving (happens April and July) allowing you to set your own goals. ^^

Edward Norton is adapting "Motherless Brooklyn (1999)" by Jonathan Lethem. It cames out on November 1st and Norton stars as lead character Lionel Essrog while also writing/directing it.
I borrowed it from the library and started reading it. Ed Norton's voice comes up as the lead character narrates everything. So if Norton does the audiobook I'm game.
PS. I also borrowed "Doctor Sleep" by Steven King and I hope I can finish it before the movie comes out on October 8th. Doctor sleep is three times the size of Motherless Brooklyn.

Lots to do before Thursday/Friday--whichever day I actually get back into working on my cyberpunk. ^^; Better do as much housework and gaming as I can before NaNo takes over for the next month. Think I'll make editing my MG a back-up plan just in case I get stuck on Static (again).
+I may not play a lot of games, but when I do play them, I tend to go all out on side quest stuff. Something tells me it's going to take me a while to find the 587 remaining Koroks, though...

I have to break ranks with the Whovians and say "The conscript" is a good Time War story.
Look it's a goofy set-up but the doctor's pacifism gets thoroughly tested along with the Time Lord's patriotism. It leads to one of my favorite Paul McGann performances.
Someone just give him another shot at a movie.

Just do some retconning Big Finish.
