Has anyone else here ever watched one of those real murder stories on TV? You know, the ones where the guy murders a whole family just because they borrowed his lawnmower and had it longer than what was acceptable. Some people will kill you over anything, it's actually quite a frightening thought.

Cant say I havent had the same thoughts though it normally comes down to my DVD collection . Friends borrow them and you see them like a year later and normally come back scratched to hell and normally they say they havent had time to watch them. What did you do with it then? Kick it around your house every day for 12 months!? You mean you havent had a spare 2 hours in 12 months....?

Still going on now, I have 3 friends who currently have 6 of my DVD's and have had for 6 months and counting now and I see them every day at work. Every time I ask if they have watched any of them yet they say no. One instance I hadnt even unwrapped the DVD to watch myself and he borrowed it and I got it back a year later and he had to buy me a new one as he had damaged the last one so badly. One of them had an entire boxset for whole of her maternity leave and still didnt watch ANY of it. Came back with a big dent in the corner too, if I borrow anyones things I practically carry them on a pillow as to not damage them in ANY way at all. I just dont get it...

Man, weddings are weird. Having to spend a day with a bunch of people I don't know, dressed in Sunday's finest and then trying to get away as soon as possible.

Well, at least the food was decent.

I don't hate anime. But man, anime fans sometimes almost make me. Or not fans, maybe I should say fanatics. I mean, nothing wrong in loving something but you don't need to insert that something in every discussion.

Anime up, anime down, anime right, anime left. Always anime, anime everywhere, anime at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Goddamn, son, stop. Anyone here ever been on the verge of hating something because of its fans? Happened to me with Game of Thrones when people posted "VINOOOOOOH!!!" memes nonstop, and it's kind of happening now with anime.

Any anime in particular that we're talking about?

No, I'm being bombarded with whatever anime stuff. It's becoming obnoxious and I'm starting to project that into anime themselves because of it which is a shame really.
As for me, I constantly get messages from my friends about how I should watch the anime that's currently airing this seasons because every new episode they say things like "omigosh, this is best anime evah!!!" and it gets annoying after a while because they almost never live up to the hype. *cough*Attack on Titan*cough*...

Whoa -- I had no idea that Parasite Eve had Quest 64's gameplay.

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to buy it one day...

Sometimes you get a nice chuckle when looking up voice actors of anime shows - dude that did the voice of Solid/Solidus/Naked/Old/Venom Snake plays a character in Coyote Ragtime Show that pretty much is like Big Boss (no eyepatch, though), and in his team is a blonde guy that is played by the same dude that did the voice of Raiden.

Akio Otsuka is a legend in the JP voice acting world. Also the son of the late Chikao Otsuka and when they played a father and son in MGS4 it was magical to see.

I know, been encountering him here and there, prompting me to read the wikipedia article, which in turn made me watch even more anime.
I know him mostly for his role of Shunsui Kyoraku (Bleach), and also Black Jack (the older version).

Speaking of Black Jack, I loved that for the "Young Black Jack" anime they got him to be the narrator and to say at the end of the final episode..."And that's when I cast aside my name and started calling myself, Black Jack" thus bridging the new anime to the old one.

Ah, I still need to watch that one... *lazy*
It is an awesome move, that way it's not just borrowing idea, it is forming a single piece with it, closing the circle.

It was pretty good, though it could've done with being longer than 12 episodes.

Still, I enjoyed it enough to start collecting the YBJ manga.
It ain't the first one that left people wanting for more, seems to be a sad trend for many shows.
Good luck with the collection, I'm sure it will look awesome on the shelf.

Snake's English VA David Hayter also played a character in Gundam at one point. He totaled the Gundam, but lost his life in the process.
