Why is it one of the last?
The moon moves away from the Earth by 1cm every year. Recently we have reached the point where the sun and moon align perfectly during a solar eclipse meaning that after a few more years the sun will appear bigger than the moon during the eclipse so it won't have the same effect. Include the fact that because of the moons orbit a solar eclipse doesn't happen in the same place every time. So seeing one over Europe again probably won't happen for years to come.I'm sure it won't be the last. I remember one happening when I was about seven or eight, I think. ^^ But still, if you have a safe way to watch it--go for it!
CT: My god, was that ever dullsville; I had hoped for something more...exciting.
