They did eat them, but mostly on shorter trips. If a trip took longer than a vegetable could be stored, and most of them were, their diet of course didn't contain any eventually, only dried meat and grains. That's why scurvy became common back then.

Speaking of veggies and fruit. What is a tomato? And i am surprised that its not extinct. Since in the Mideavl time people used to throw them. And in the present day there is a festival called La Tomatina where participants throw tomatoes and get involved in this tomato fight purely for fun. It is held on the last Wednesday of August.

Raiden is a damn ninja-like sword fighter who runs around all the time and does flashy and speedy movements. Not only are heels impractical as hell, but also look pretty gay. Especially on a character who's supposed to look badass.

Heels would be impractical if they were on shoes, but Raiden is full cyborg, that is literally his feet that have "heels". There is no danger of losing balance, his body knows how to work with something that is part of it. It's kinda like a dewclaw, only actually touching the ground all the time.

They have a purpose to stay on a horse, but on foot, wearing them is the most stupid thing a warrior can do. You might as well go on and kill yourself if you go on battle with heels.

Wanna see really gayish? Check out male fashion from Elizabethan era. Nothing says you're highly fashion conscious like a massive ruff or a piece of clothing that screams "here are my legs and this is my junk". But then they were only doing what revealing clothing does for women now. It was ok for men to do that then, without being labelled homosexual-ish.
