im getting used to having 7 party members and being past the story's climax.

this feels like the moment in FF15 where the game becomes more linear than openworld but in this case the game actually does railroad you on a path.

basilio is my new favorite character and tied with Heismay and Eupha. Although Heismay is probably my favorite party member in terms of gameplay and story.

Stalker 2 on xbox series x
How are you liking it? I've got the itch to play the old STALKER games now (except maybe Clear Sky), and STALKER 2. I played the first STALKER when it first released, but never finished due to softlocked save file. I did love the game, though.

Anyway, I'm still slowly playing FF16. I just lack the motivation or excitement to boot it up, given its inconsistent pacing and me having to play on low graphic settings just to get 30+ fps...and it looks really bad on low. It's still a good game, imo.

But the lack of excitement for FF16 and thought of playing 80+ hour backlog games like Persona got me thinking I should do a 2-pronged backlog rotation. The Great Ace Atty Chronicles won out in this regard. So this is what I have been playing the past week or so:

Final Fantasy 16
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
Brotato
Fallout 76
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis

the main villian is tougher than i thought. good thing they gave us a training period (which i wasted).

I'm going to try to platinum Shadows of the Damned. I had a good time with the game, though a bit primitive is some areas. Definitly a good time and not a very hard Platinum to get.

I have completed all Missions (including DLC) of Sniper Elite 5 with the highest ranking. I think that's as much as I can get out of it without touching the Multiplayer side at all, so I am ready to put it down and give my thoughts.

On the whole, I enjoyed myself a lot. It's a very simple formula - you run around in a variety of sandboxes and are given a series of tasks to complete, but when it works it works. My biggest criticisms would be the wonkiness of the enemy AI sometimes and the fact that around half of the items such as TNT and the Decoy are completely useless. I also would have liked there to be some kind of incentive to doing a pacifist run as there is no real reason for using the non-lethal ammo.

Cautiously interested in the next game in the series coming out next month.

Indiana jones, only about 90 minutes in and loving it already. It is like uncharted meets dishonored in terms of gameplay, but the story and voice acting is the real stand out. Troy baker is doing fantastic as young indy.
