"42 All-Time Classics" (apparently known in America as "Clubhouse Games") on the Nintendo DS. A compilation-type video game, consisting of board, card, and tabletop games from around the world for the player to enjoy either solo against a computer or with friends.
I actually do possess the Switch sequel, but there's plenty of games that are exclusive to the original DS version and so I like to go back to it every now and again to experience.
I'm still focused on FF16 with some random puzzle and shmup games sprinkled in to mix things up.
I'm really liking FF16, I think I'm about halfway through, give or take some hours. But I just got the 3rd major thing on the skill tree (avoiding spoilers for y'all) out of, what I assume will be 6 based on the skill tree.
The writing is great, the combat is solid, maybe not up to Bayo or DMC levels, but it's still fun and has depth. It may be my favorite new SP FF since FF12. My only gripe is the poor performance on my PC. I had to put all settings to low just to get good fps. And man...it does not look good, lots of blurred and pixelated things.
Finished the black ops 6 campaign and cleared all it's achievements, also cleared the lakehouse dlc so not sure what to play now until stalker 2 is out.
I saw that the new "Metal Slug Tactics" came out the other day, but from the screenshots it appears to be some kind of SRPG which is surprising given the recent success of Cuphead. Therefore I got all nostalgia and ran through the original arcade trilogy on PC. Good stuff and am hopeful that Tactics does well enough that they might make a new traditional Metal Slug game in the future.
