for something that came out in 2013, everything in the game feels weird, even the gameplay imo.. and what the hell where they tryin to go with that visual style? it's not artistic retro vintage something at all, just plain hurts

I like the visual style, it's something that does not age as fast as a lot of cutting edge games tend to do.
Gameplay is fine by me so far, I still don't get a lot of the systems and this weird gigolo stuff should have been optional or not even in the game to be honest.

well true, it won't age like normal visual style because it's --i don't know, different, i still don't understand what they were going for, cel shaded but with blurred touch, could've made like borderlands or naruto/dbz games, and they still won't age..

that gigolo stuff really is weird indeed.. those are some crazy eccentric minds behind the game, man even the story is weird.. gosh

Just finished Episode 3 of Game of Thrones on XB1.

Just beat MGR.

Well, what to say? It was one hell of a ride. Good combat system (my only dislike is the parry), especially loved Blade Mode, nice story, awesomely shot and directed cutscenes, cool action visuals. I loved it and I want more. Yep, officially an MGR fan now.

Good thing that MGR is an action game I suppose. I've never had the chance to play the MGS games, but from what I've heard there's a lot of cutscenes, almost Quantic Dream style, and they're stealth games, a genre I'm not particularly fond in, if it's not Splinter Cell.

But I'm curious to know more stuff about the Metal Gear universe, I might play the older MGS games on an emulator.

Also, I might be wrong, but seems to me that Raiden is disliked by a lot of people. I can't understand why, I liked him. Maybe it's because of how he is in MGS2, maybe he's different there? I don't know, but in MGR, he seemed to me a solid action character, fitting the tone of the game.

So yeah, it was fun and challenging (except Sundowner boss fight, I found that very easy... Jestream Sam too), I look forward to an hypothetical sequel (I've heard rumors that it was teased).

What do you think of Xenoverse, it's the first DBZ game I'm considering buying in some time after being burned many times.

Xenoverse is great as you can make a unique character with your own hand picked attacks and strengths , it is a mix of battle of z and the older budokai tenkaichi games with it having the budokai combat and boz openess of the map and lock on

the online is brilliant especially 3 vs 3 fights or the endless fight lobbies and of course you have 4 player coop

being able to customise different races and moves makes for some interesting matchups

So since there has been a discount on every game from the Warhammer franchise on Steam, as a Warhammer 40k fan I had to pick up the ones I didn't have, so I bought Warhammer 40k Space Marine and I've been slaughtering orks for the past few hours. Also, a little bit of DMC4 & 3 here and there.

All the talk about MGS made me want to play some of the games but I'm awful at stealth in general and I heard that the older ones are pretty hard so I'm probably going to wait for Phantom Pain to get into the series.

The older mgs are tough but you get help from the game a lot and it is only the higher difficulties that test your patience lol

Been reading about it and watching reviews and I liked that they tried something different with the story and customising a character is something fans have been asking for, for some time. Budokai 3 was my favourite and enjoyed the freedom of Budokai Tenkaichi but combat just fell flat. Aix of the two would be good so might give them another chance with Xenoverse after the disappointment of the last few years of DBZ games.

Heard servers were terrible on PS4 version but a little better on XB1 version for the online but don't imagine I would play versus that much. Co-op sounds fun though and hope this is a sign that DBZ games are on the up & with new movie soon maybe a DBZ revival is on the cards.

Me too, would love some new sagas and my stepson is really getting into DBZ too so would be great to watch some new material together. Brings back memories of me being young and watching it for the first time.
