Was DmC Devil May Cry all that bad?

DMC Sparda defeated Mundus, married Eva, and then disappeared or went into hiding or died or became Mundus's *****. Who knows, WE SURE DON'T. All we know is that he is said to have died.

DmC Sparda and Eva tried and are still trying to keep the world from going to **** through their sons. EVEN AS THEY ARE IMPRISONED. They are not going to let some silly banishment hinder them from doing the most of honorable things possible in life.

As for the fate of Sparda, the guy had to hide his children before he went to challenge the legendary Mundus. To at least try to defeat Mundus. Instead, he's defeated and imprisoned to a hell unlike any other.

No, Dragon, I don't think that's the case. The most probable case is that after dealing with Eva, Mundus b!tchslapped Sparda and imprisoned him, condemning him to a life of eternal torture ecc. ecc.

True but whose to say Sparda was the first to charge after Mundus recklessly? Whose to say that Sparda's rampage on Mundus was one of 1000s of rampages and he was just another demon who was beat by Munuds?
Or maybe Mundus whiped Sparda's storming his tower from being discovered by anyone.
Either or. I mean in the original we don't know how Sparda died whether killed or died his own.

It all seems kinda forced, really. Sparda isn't really depicted as such a badass to do that, sadly. But if that's your headcanon man, stick to it, if you like. Maybe write a fanfic? I would be interested in reading it, would give me a view of Sparda opposite to the one the game offers.

Well, you know there is always gonna be that person who has to come in and knock the latest game down a peg, no matter the subject.

I couldn't care less of someone's feelings on a video game, it just has already gotten to this silly and ridiculous point that where some just have to get over themselves. This is just beyond old and stupid.

It's a goddamn game. Not something that really should offend you so much.

Well, we both know Im here to keep the facts straight.

Fact is, we havent played a game of Smash yet.
 
So, on Tumblr, I have officially witnessed someone turn from a DmC hater to a DmC lover - if not appreciator.

I do find it very interesting to see people - including myself - fall in love with this game. I remember my very first DmC related post on Tumblr was about that scene where Kat got shot and Dante was all like "oh noooo Kat" and that was the first sign of my downfall.
