I do remember Vergil destroying a graveyard filled with Demons with only his Yamato as a child(DMC3 Manga). If he really did use guns then I don't understand why he didn't bring them with him. Knowing he would be attacked this suggest that he never used them during that time.

Vergil has always enjoyed a challenge... Look at him awakening Dante's DT in 3, so that Dante would be more of a challenge.

Its in the Manga if that's what you meant by assumption(Well Maybe it isn't cannon anymore but this s a different Manga that probably thrown out. DMC1 Manga btw. It shows Dante and Vergil fighting as kids with Vergil being cocky and losing for it.).
Actually I found pieces of it.

But yeah I guess it would be ok if he used hand guns. But then again i can't imagine it with him being equipped with the Yamato.

Only the pre-DMC3 Manga is canon.

Then all that stuff about Tony Redgrave is thrown out and has to be re written. Even if its on the guns. They said it wasn't cannon anymore. The small facts remain the truth though as in Tony Redgrave and Vergil and Dante's childhood. Because it is mentioned in the games or featured.

The reason they were no longer cannon is because of Gilver(suppose to be Vergil but he was a servant of Mundus before DMC3) and because of Trish but the small facts remains to somewhat truth.

I said pre-DMC3, which means the events with Tony Redgrave and till the point of DMC3's beginning, are canon as Manga.

The whole thing about Tony Redgrave was in the Novel which was before DMC3 and DMC3 Manga(The time-line puts it before both). Gilver was also in this Manga which was suppose to be Vergil. Dante had the Force Edge in this Novel in which is thrown out because we all know he gets it at the end of 3. This means Tony Redgrave has to be thrown out for those simple facts. DMC3 Manga has errors as well. As in Vergil wanting to destroy the human world but in the game he had no concern for it and he just wanted Sparda's power.

That's why only parts of It were adapted.

Exactly so you can't say that the attitude of Dante and Vergil was thrown out because it was in the DMC1 Manga. Some facts in it still remains to truth except the obvious that cant be true. They based some of Vergil's attitude and personality in DMC3 from that DMC1 Manga. Vergil is the older brother in that Manga as Dante even said so in DMC3 that goes to truth.

That is true if Vergil still used guns it would wreck the whole Vergil feel and the character would then be all mucked up. I would not like to see Vergil use guns it would kill my inner child!

Wtf are u guys on about? Nothing wrong if he did or didn't...

It would kill the whole "I'm better then Humans" attitude that Vergil gives off. He should just stick to his standard Japanese style of fighting.

No it wouldn't. Vergil is cool in the games, but if he had past experience with guns it would ruin nothing. It would have just been a phase...

I thought you meant him using guns as in recently or in the future. But if its the past then your right it wouldn't matter much but Vergil should keep a good distance away from Dante's traits so he doesn't get stale.

True. He may have gone through a phase before of using guns, but of course found it wasn't his style. It suits Dante, but not Vergil.
