The thing is, we would probably be exactly like the other forums if the mods didn't actually pay attention to us.

That's about it, really. Places like GameFAQs, YouTube, and especially 4chan are just completely lawless zones, and of course, the mamma-jammas hang out where the heat don't reach.

But not to them. Most of them play the DMC games for competition and be show-offs like do more combos and jump cancelling. They try to act like they're gonna win like a million dollars or something if they preform the best combo.

At this point, I really do need to stop giving a damn about them.

No, just no. That's not what we think at all. Not even the most of us.

Half of us are naturally good at other games and it just shows in DMC4. While the other half practice just because having these skills make the games that we play so much intriguing. We aren't "playing like we are going to win a million dollars". We are exploiting DMC's combat system and showing it what DMC has to offer. That's what I do whenever I make videos about DMC4, as well as doing tutorials to help people.

The contests that comes along with DMC brings people together as well. The most you get out of DMC tournaments are "bragging rights". But that's about it. You don't get prizes (God forbid if they actually gave out prizes) in DMC tournaments.


I hate to rant but I don't know why people think that just because you have skill, you are a "show-off" when you upload videos about it. Especially if some of the stuff that is uploaded are things that change mechanics within the game (just like that video I uploaded about Ricochet Stocking). If that's the case, why don't we all play basic and not give a damn about improving our skill.

Again, I hate to rant about that but it really ****es me off when people say stuff like this. You're essentially say that our hardwork to gain skill in a game means that we only want to be show-offs. :/

But that's the thing. It's your experience. No one forces you to play in a different manner.

I don't go around saying "Ok, you're good but you seriously need to learn how to Jump Cancel as well as learning proper combos." I'm merely showing people how I play DMC4 and how I want to play it.

And I respect you for that. Though I think if you actually watched me play the games you'd die of suck-stroke. It's a serious problem when people are watching me game at my house.

Lol I watch a lot of people play games casually and I sit back until they are having some serious problems.
That's when I give people suggestions on what to do if they are continuously having problems with a certain fight or combo in any game.

i started to feel that way too but then i realised that i dont care if i was the only one. as meredith vickers from prometheus said, a king has his reign, then he dies. its the natural order of things. same as with this, old dmc needed to change drastically or change completely. it wasn't going to do either except add obnoxiously sized breasts and protruding labia.

Spam Taunt and Meteor. Works particularly well with Griffin (yes, I am speaking from experience, no I was not playing as Super Dante).

I was a fan of DmC... I fought for what I believed in. However, when I saw how easy things were on DMD, I lost hope. I don't even know if I'm a fan anymore.

I'm just gonna get the game when it comes out (because at this point, why not?). And get DMC3 HD as well. No, I will not be getting Bayonetta 1 nor 2.

where are the mods? shouldnt they be taking down all these spoiler threads and useless omg omg i got the game early thread. the least people could do is make just one thread instead of posting like 5 or 6...sometimes from the same person.

If people simply ignored the trolls instead of biting to their comments they would merely be talking to themselves & get bored & if people reported the spoiler/spam threads they would be removed faster. Personally ive been working 60/70 hour weeks lately so havent had much time to get online but when things are reported they come straight to my personal email. So I can swiftly remove some things in the little time ive had to get online. Ive had 11 pages of threads to go through since the last time I got chance to login so things will get missed unless pointed out sometimes.

Why not compare it to DMC4's DMD mode? From what I've seen, it's about as difficult as DMC4's DMD mode(can't say the same for the bosses). That guy seemed like a decent player but he died plenty of times when he fought against the 2 dreamrunners.

Good one. I actually tried to say that DmC was as good (and as difficult) as DMC4) and I got trolled for it, even after I tried to explain that Gilgamesh was just as broken as their "bullshit axe" (Arbiter).

I'll agree to that. DmC DMD = DMC4 DMD.

I never really thought of the axe as broken. The power boost from demon dodging is just too much and they should nerf it. Also, mind telling me how Gilgamesh is broken? I only thought spamming lock-on+foward+triangle was pretty cheap.

I rather not have it like DMC3's DMD. That mode was annoyingly difficult unlike DMC1 and DMC4 which were fair enough in DMD. If it's as difficult as DMC4, then that's fine. That's all I need (I died a lot in DMC4's DMD mode). Plus I got H&H and seeing as how I get hit a lot in the demo, it's going to be a pain in the ass, but atleast the enemies don't live for a VERY LONG TIME.

I meant in the sense that you could spam DT distortion. Yeah, and the spamming thing is also cheap.

And I don't think that the axe is broken, either. I was merely offering a counter-argument.
