To EVERYONE...

Honestly, this is my two cents worth..

You see, I'm the guy who is, well, basically in the middle. If I hate something someone else loves, whether it's music, movies, games, etc. (Twilight, CoD, Or any other crap music today) I won't degrade that certain thing that they love so much in front of them. I'll just go ahead and tell them "You know, I don't like, and I really hate some of the stuff that you like, but that's okay, that's YOUR thing. I won't judge, I won't degrade it, it's yours." The same thing goes with any Religious debate you see on the internet, I'm Agnostic, and guess what? In the middle. It's fine that they have views whether there is and isn't a God, I won't bash them or hate them for it...Hell I have many religious friends and we get along just fine. My views are just basically Religion and Science can co-exist with each other, many have told me it isn't possible, but it is. Anyway, back on topic. If someone hates DmC, that's fine, that's okay it's their opinion. But, both sides are at wrong here, we both hate each other, yell at each other, curse, death threats, etc. That's perfectly normal, we're just human. Exactly like Westboro Baptist Church (or the antis? I don't know the term) They go on videos and shove the thought down peoples throats that "THIS GAME SUCKS" like WBC, except they shove religion down other's throats. Same for the supporters, we hate them for hating it, sure some of them deserve it but that's only because we're human.
Both sides, can get along perfectly fine...both sides need to drop and lose whatever hate we have for each other, shake hands, and go out for pizza. We can do it, the supporters need to just keep supporting the game like usual, but without hate for people who hate it because it's their opinion...just shrug it off and go "that's fine with me." While the (still don't know the term for it, antis?) can stop going on DmC videos and hating it, spoiling it for others who just want to have fun on a video game...hell even both sides can talk it out, pros and cons of DMC and DmC. Everyone needs to understand, it's peoples rights to have their own opinion, to love something, to hate something...there's no need to kill each other over a video game.

I need you to do sort of the opposite of that with me. I still like DmC, but am so disappointed after seeing the final boss in DMD. I thought it would be so difficult to beat, therefore, proving that it could at least compete with the bosses in the other games. But it didn't. Does this mean I'm no longer a fan?

Dude there is still Vergil's downfall that might redeem that.

Some members especially new ones seems to use this forum like 4chan although you need profiles.
This is why the forum is in turmoil right now I suppose.
It's not because they hate the game, it's their morals that are wrong from the start.
 
Not trying to start anything but what I find funny is that the ones who are against the game are pointing out the flaws and "bugs" in it while the original ones had the same too.

But not to them. Most of them play the DMC games for competition and be show-offs like do more combos and jump cancelling. They try to act like they're gonna win like a million dollars or something if they preform the best combo.

At this point, I really do need to stop giving a damn about them.

They're a bunch of children who should have their laptops/computers/Iphone ripped out of their hands and smashed on the ground for behaving so rudely against people for only liking something they don't.

You have the right to an opinion, but not on this level, neither side should. Fortunately though, there's a lot of support I got after those messages today:

The way I see it, all this stuff got really crazy after the ending was posted here.

Since then we've had a whole bunch of WWIII battles going on here. fan against anti-fan. Old series fan vs New game fan. It's f*cking ridiculous.

You see, the beauty of the internet is that you can just ignore people who you don't want to interact with. It is literally two button presses away, and when you weigh in on a discussion which people are passionate about it's bound to happen. It's a tragic element of human interaction, but you have to be ready to accept the 80% of people who are willing to be total arseholes in order to get their point across.

It certainly doesn't change the fact that there are a lot of legitimate grievances this game has caused it's fans, old and new, and that by using hyperbole to simplify the fanbase into two groups is not only disruptive and dehumanizing, but also insulting to everyone involved.

Not a problem with you of course; human beings have a tribal mentality which means we prefer to look at people with complex opposing viewpoints as all part of the same beast we must slay.

We just have to be ready to deal with every level of debate as it comes, be quick to report those who are demonstrably here to troll and nothing more, and just enjoy riding the wave of attention that the Devil May Cry franchise deserves.
