are you referring to playable characters? if so then i would want to have different costumes and characters as rewards for beating the game. But i dont want to have to play as a different character for story purposes. I just want a complete telling of whatever they're trying to say about dante. I dont want to tag in another character to climb something and deliver this thing to whoever, when i could of just been dante the whole time. But if i beat it and i could choose to be...lets say Verge, from the start to the finish, im cool with that.on issue of alternate characters, i think they should be in the actual game unless they cant be done right then should be regulated to dlc.
that, and I'm against the dlc idea, you should be able to unlock everything in the game just by playing it, also what do you think about Dante using his fists and legs instead of a beowulf-like weapon, like in the previous games?are you referring to playable characters? if so then i would want to have different costumes and characters as rewards for beating the game. i say beowulf too because i hate saying ifrit and gilgamesh. there too silly of words for me. but ur right, it would be cool if all of your hand to hand combat was, in essence, beowulf's move set. you said the grand slam was the same, and so is the uppercut, except there isnt a charge. when Dante kicks, he delivers two kicks and its just like the way he would kick enemies in beowulf, except only 2 hits. Its like Dante fighting without the added power, such as beowulf, and its always been the way he fights. You're right, I was just wondering if they'll still put in a Beowulf-like weapon with all that added as Dante's new street brawler type combat, and also the ground slam from the trailer, and gameplay video felt kind of Beowulf-ish to me, and I say Beowulf but there are also Ifrit and Gilgamesh which I also enjoy very much.
they've have wings for dante in every game while he was in his devil triggerYeah, I remember those blue things around Dante's arms when he does extended jumps -- in the long gameplay trailer they could be seen very clearly, and I already commented that they looked like little wings pushing out of him. Now that I gave more thought about the "flying ability", I think I wouldn't mind if Dante grew a pair of wings in order to gain a limited time to move around in the air more freely, without the fear of falling down too soon. Even if the concept of wings is cliché in a way.

i think only in 2 you could actually fly.. or could you fly in 1 too? dont remember
since we are on subject of movement, how do people want to traverse int the game?
other than wings/flight and elements of platforming.
I like the motorcycle idea, and Dante has ridden them in previous games, although only in cutscenes, but as it seems to be Dante's prefered form of transportation it's possible we could see a segment or two with him riding one.Besides simply walking around, I've always liked trains and motorcycles when moving around long distances.
its the same thing tho? I havent seen him dash on the ground yet and that could be dissappointing but other than that, i figured the air dash was still the same? I've noticed that DmC's dash goes further than previous gamest too. That air dash thing rubs me the wrong way. It just doesn't look very interesting, not like in 3 & 4. Just doesn't look... stylish, I guess.
