I'm also one of those who thinks the journey should be done completely with Dante.
After clearing the game, though, having other characters even as "costumes" would maybe be fun. I'd like to play as Trish, but I doubt they would include her in the game. xP

I agree, anyway who do you think has a chance of showing up here?
I think Nero,Trish and Lucia definitely won't be making an apperance, each for there own reasons,
however Vergil and Lady might, maybe she is the girl we saw, but I would most of all like to see Vergil.

Hmm, for some reason I don't think we will be seeing Lady. I'd say Vergil is the most possible, since it would be kind of weird to ignore the fact that Dante has a twin brother. If they hadn't said it that some familiar face/s will appear in the game, I could even think that Dante is the only already seen character in it. But since that is not the case, I'm guessing that Vergil will take part in the game.

I wonder, it certain mythologies angels and demons are the same being. In Christianity for example demons and angels are the same type of being just demons are angels who have "fallen from grace." So other than this Dante's angel form possessing light good oriented powers its no different than the Devil Trigger. Its really more of a game play mechanic.

thats what i was thinking. but it still all come down to NT's interpretation of angels and demons.

^ I second that, although I believe it's more then anything a gameplay mechanic, and the story will only go skin deep on the issue, but hey I could be wrong, I acually hope they dig deeper, and make it a meaningfull element of the story.
I'm hopping we're given some more information soon, and this time give us a glimpse of the story, not just another gameplay trailer.

I can see how NT would make the two forms vastly different from each other but it's really all the same. A mode that gives the player enhanced speed and power.

Unless they pull a DMC2 Dt where one forms gives speed related powers and the other form gives power related powers and etc, etc.

^perhaps this new female is Trish...i've given it some thought...at first I didn't think so and I am still somewhat reluctant to say it, but think about it...she sees the demons too...and she is helping Dante...ok, that's not much to work with but in context this can make sense...she finds cameras and is helping Dante with some sort of plan..in this way she could actually just have been given all of this information (specifically locations, weaknesses, etc.) by the demons! in a sense, the demons would be trying to get Dante to their leader so that they can take him out...she would be a "double-agent" kind of

I don't think it's Trish 'cause she becomes see-through like all the other humans, which would indicate she is also one. I got the impression that she was part of some resistance, rather then working for the demons, well anyway since NT aren't giving us any information it's all speculation, your guess is as good as mine.

they need to give us new information...O.o

they need to give us new information...
yes new info.
has anyone ever had trouble with jumping in dmc? well not in combat, but just climbing up a wall, or up some broken stairs? I've never liked how the jump was because not only was it more of a hop than a jump, but it didnt really cover much ground and it wasnt pressure sensitive.(the longer you hold, the greater the jump, type of thing) i like bayonetta's jump because she floats and its pressure sensitive, also you can control her too, so its very precise

We need a story trailer stat.
agreed.

and yeah the jump is very bizzare, it basically shoots the character straight up and maybe an inch or two forward lol, but i think that's something i like about dmc. its not easy to jump around like most platformer/action games. you have to be pretty acurate with your jumps or else you could really mess yourself up. (ex. getting pass the fan blades on dmc4, one of the hardest parts on the game for me lol)

^^thats exactly what im talking about! Although it was great in combot because of the "invincibility frames" it was still a clumby jump mechanic for platforming. Unlike the new Dante. His just is like Bayonetta, where u have full control over it. Thats just something i think they should of fixed long ago, nice to see its changed now, specially if the world is supposed to be trying to kill you, your gonna have to have full control

very true, i think i will like dante's new jump as long as they fix it to where you don't stay in the air TOO long, btw likie the sig :)

I can agree with the comments above mine; it's good news that the new Dante is more controllable, especially the jumps, since in a world as active as DmC promises, clumsy controls would be killing both Dante and the player sitting in front of the TV. It's always great to have the character respond to the moves you input fluently; if it's not so, a lot of mistakes will take place and mess up your performances.
By the way, about staying in air long times, what if they make some kind of angel ability where Dante can temporarily float as if he grew wings out of his shoulderblades? In a way that would be very corny, but then again, it is so angel-like and would maybe be used more to moving around rather than in battle. But it would be so silly to see Dante like that... maybe. xD

And, wallenb, great sig there! ;D

^ yeah it would be somewhat silly, and i think they have kinda fixed that idea where it wouldn't be so silly and corny because if you notice when dante does that air dash move these blue things come out of his arms i'll try to find a pic to show everyone, if anyone doesn't know what im talking about

well it wouldnt be the first time dante would be able to fly around. I actually like that concept. I always liked being able to trickster dash infinitely when dt iin dmc4, it made you feel overpowered, as it should because what could hit you? Im hoping to see more flying enemies besides the head thing. If im gonna be fighting in the air, i should have some competition. Especially if the new "thing" is areal combat.

having wings come out is pretty....GoW cheezy so, im good with the stream of angelic mist
