So what do you guys think about this Vergil?

YES, IT'S TOO MUCH. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT VERGIL MUST KEEP HIS TRAP SHUT IN ORDER TO BE A BADASS?? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU??

Who said that? I don't remember anyone saying that?

i have to agree. nobody should be disrespecting anybody just because they don't like the way vergil looks or acts. it's their opinion, if they don't want to like him then they won't. we don't need to attack one another.

Tell that to the people who are doing it....

I dont know, this new vergil looks just for me too pussy, this coat, this hair, he looks like 16 years old boy in cosplayer costume, maybe they could a bit "upgread" him like they done with "DmC 2010 Dante" :D

I don't think anyone's thought about this, but what about the power going to Vergil's head?

He still has the propensity to be a villain. And a likeable, almost relateable character, like Ozymandias from Watchmen or Manchester Black from Superman.

Sure he doesn't have the weird fixation on becoming the most powerful thing in the universe like his DMC3 counterpart, but give him a chance at least.
Funny that you brought superman into this. I've been watching Smallville again from season 1 and now I'm somewhere in season 5 ( by the way great series  ) and in that version of superman Lex starts off as a decent guy with an obsession to know the truth about Clark Kent and eventually that destroys their friendship. Anyways It's shows how best friends can become the worst enemies because of lies and secrets between them.

And what has this to do with Vergil and Dante? Well, everything! Obviously Vergil isn't telling the whole truth, and while his goals might be noble, the ways to achieve that goal might not...

Vergil might have a hidden trauma of his past even though he got to live much better childhood than Dante, DMC3 Vergil had also a trauma because he couldn't protect Eva, so that's where the lust for power comes from.

So the obsession to rule the world could very well be there hidden inside, that way he could "protect" the world by becoming a dictator, I think that's enough a reason for a fight between brothers.

exactly,

Thats all I ask really.

Is it really to much to let people have their opinion?

I see people praise everything about this game from top to bottom and a lot of the praise I don't get or agree with.

But in the end, I make sure to respect that opinion and let them have it.

Who am I to ridicule and berate their posts because I don't agree with their opinion?

speak the truth my friend!

LOL at the guys who are slinging mud at the so called "haters" for disliking this Vergil.

You look no better than the "haters" you ridicule and berate with posts like

"Your nothing but a hater!"

"You just can't accept change!"

"You just are trying to find reasons to hate this Vergil!"

And here I thought attitudes around here would mature a bit and people could actually start to respect each others opinions.

Exactly my thoughts here! I mean if someone dislikes Vergil then people needs to respect that opinion man!

There's no need for insinuating insults either. "Soft" and "too nice" immediately translates to "weak". Vergil, whatever flaws he may have, is neither "soft", nor "weak".

There are opinions, there are insults, and there are words that mask the negativity.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. And these forums are here to talk to others about their opinions. As long as its good conversation and not calling each other names, im up to here anybody's opinion on the game. If we all agreed, we wouldnt be talking about it and that would be boring.

Its not their fault that YOU came to the conclusion that they are insults when really its them giving their opinion on this Vergil.

Your level of defensiveness is to high for this game if you ask me.

You seem stuck on the notion that anything less favorable said about this game and characters is uncalled for negativity that fans express because "Change is bad!".

I honestly don't know if he wants to rule the world, but I do know he's careful enough to to reveal that up front. I honestly don't believe that he wants to free the private citizenry just to rule over them. They would see through that.

I think that this is just about getting the mission done. And if Dante stands in the way of that by rescuing Kat, then Dante might end up putting everyone at risk because of that. Vergil may end up going overboard (an understandable reaction) when it comes to liberating the people. If he's almost at his goal, then of course he would do anything to see it through. Even if it meant fighting Dante.

This isn't about a takeover. At least, I don't think so.

DAMN!!! :O

The problem is when some people take other people's opinion as an insult! Where is the so called "Freedom of speech?" If we aren't allowed to write our opinions then what is the use of this forum where if half of the member says something is good then all other half should agree with that opinion!

God forbid Vergil show some concern for his fellow man... :/

What's next, he's actually a good guy and has no ulterior motive?? What a chump!

Insulting someone and calling them opinions does not hide the fact that you're backpedaling.

"Freedom of Speech" does not equate to "Right to Abuse."
