So... I played the DmC demo at Comic-Con

Well, it's something that was, to a lesser extent, also evident in DMC4. The game just felt diferent than 3. It's not as obvious there but... Ok, so if you listen to one track from each of the games, 1, 2, 3 and 4 you can hear the similareties, but if you listen to a track from 1 and 4 then you hear the diference. It's almost like... same genre but not the same franchise. Am I making sence here?

I see what you mean. It's not as Dark and mysterious as DMC1 or DMC2 for that matter.

one more question from me berto.
did you have fun playing it?
Both frustrating and fun. Like I said, i'll enjoy it more once I start getting used to the new controller scheem. Like I said, I under estemated the game and must give it credit where do.

Yeah, that's a huge part of it, but not all. There are other small details here and there, and as we all know, the devil is in the details. Well, I suppose it doesn't matter, the chips will fall where they will, for better or worse.

well i'm glad that someone who wasn't exactly excited for the game had fun with it, because at the end of the day that's what video games are all about. :)
WAIT! sorry one more question i promise! so with the small amount of time you had with the game are you now anticipating the game, has it converted you into a believer? (lol sounds like i'm talking about a cult or something)

Well it IS a demo, so it's not much. Plus this demo was even as back as Captivate minus the Larva boss, so it's little to go on.

Well, to be blunt, no, not really a beliver.

I might get the game latter on and it certainly left a more possitive impression than the one I walked in with, but I fell in love with the series because of the original. it might've aged some and it might have it's flaws, but DMC1 is an experience that has never been duplicated and I've alway hopped it would be. But as the sequels progressed that's just something that seems to be getting further and further away from ever happening, and every title that's released it just feels like a reminder.

I don't really hate this title but rather I hate that with it it just makes that notion of something I'd hope would happen seem less and less possible.

It's still DMC though so I'm more open to the idea now. I mean It may taste like a warm cup of tobacco chewers' spit but it's still beer, damn it-- I mean DMC, Damn it!

unique way of putting it lol

ah, i didn't catch the reference at first lol
oh yeah and earlier you mentioned you saw more of the club environment didn't you?
On the overhead screen. A total of about 5 seconds, I guess. Saw the light ramp, the orange room, and some of the other stuff from the screen caps from E3.

ah dang lol i was thinking it was more than that. well maybe that 5 seconds of new footage is apart of the trailer they may be showing.

bahaha lay it on me lol
Well, I do have more to say but the more interesting things I've already posted, it's just that my brain is fried for the day. I'm sure I'll remember the rest tomorrow. I'm pretty sure there are some note worthy things I just can't remember right now.

okay, well whenever you think of them post away! i'll be interested to see what else you have to say about the demo.

I remember that I was going to coment on my previous statement on this:
I'll be playing DMC1, 3 & 4 and Bayonetta this week to compair and prepair. I really want to get the most out of this as I can to see how it holds up, compairs, and differs. The con is loud so no point in seeing the cutscenes since I've seen the all anyway so I'll be sticking to gameplay only; dudging with the evade bottons, trying to kill a guy with only the guns, checking out the combos, trying to overheat tne guns (if possible), seeing how high I can get by enemy steping, taking damage on purpose to see how long it takes to recover, standing still to see how long enemies stand around before attaking, air dudge, changing weapons mid combo. Atleast that's what I'd like try but when i played the DMC4 demo at the con they had a 10 minute only rule, for some reason they only had one display and so time was limited. I'll bring my Vita along and try to take pictures but as some of you know the vita's camra is hardly it's forte.

I'll get to it tomorrow. Things are just a bit vague at this hour. Let's pick this up tomorrow. anyone can feel free to leave questions and I'll try to answer as best I can.

You mentioned that once you change modes the combo resets, is that 100% acurate? If so, that's already a new thing for the game, because in previous videos you can see the guy doing like Y, Y *pause* LT + Y to continue the combo after the pause with Osiris instead of Roulette Spin.

youve been saying how the game doesnt feel like DMC and that graphically it seems inferior to DMC4.
my question is do you think those things can be contributed (at least partially) to the ultra realistic theme they're going for while past DMC games have always been more animeish/ fantasy styled in their design.
