Does this guy know how to party or what!!??
Your worship pleases me!!

ASK!!

One question... does it feel like a Devil May Cry game?
Actually, that's a good question because it's a yes and no.

Yes because it moves and acts like one. The combat is prevelent and obviously DMC at it's core and it definitly has the moves and it controls like one.

No because there is something not DMC about it. I can't explain it, its something untangible. You know how you watch a movie from a certain director, Spielberg, Kubrick, Guilliam, Coppla, Burton, and so on, and you can tell by the way the movie is made that it's that director? Well, that, it feels lik ea Jurassic Park movie not directed by Spielberg. The elements are there but there is just something different that I can't really point out or flat out say. I'm sorry for been vague.

I understand. Thank you!

Also, how was the third person camera?

Mostly good but like I said about the Poison ledges, it won't shift on it's own when you need it to, that's your job, and once or twice I found myself looking through a wall, but not often.

What was the word from people on the show floor? Did you hear anyone else comment on the game demo?

No, everyone left pretty imidiatly after playing. I did take part on a 'it's just the black hair' conversation while waiting in line, though (I Sh#t you not).

If you are fighting poison and you want to swith ledges make sure you can see the blue crystal your going to graple to. The game won't shift the camera for you, you have to do it yourself. I fell off to the lava alot because of this.

Finally gets free camera moving ability in a Devil May Cry game...
Dies.

Well I wanted to know about the music change as you got better and better while fighting. Do you have any info on that?
Actually that was kindda interesting because I was playing and I completly forgot about checking on the music. A few enemies in and the the vocals kicked in and an 'Oh, yeah' moment happened there. So it does happen but I wasn't paying too much attention. The music is notasibly lower than the SFX so I forgot to pay attention.

Forgot to mention!

Lookie what I got:

The picture doens't really do it justice. The E&I are more detailed. It's nothing great, mind you, but's kinda nice.

Be back in a few if anyone wants answers. Gatta go get a drink.

Missing element? Hmmm...let me think...

Hmmm I wonder what it could be?

It's on the tip of my tongue...

What could it be?

Nope I got nothin. I just don't know why it doesn't feel like a DMC game.
:troll:

Well, it's something that was, to a lesser extent, also evident in DMC4. The game just felt diferent than 3. It's not as obvious there but... Ok, so if you listen to one track from each of the games, 1, 2, 3 and 4 you can hear the similareties, but if you listen to a track from 1 and 4 then you hear the diference. It's almost like... same genre but not the same franchise. Am I making sence here?
