They did set up for the events of DMC1 at the end of DMC3Itsuno never seemed to have taken much in to account from Kamiya's game so I wouldn't read too much in to that.

Not really. More like retcon and contradict it.They did set up for the events of DMC1 at the end of DMC3
Wait, what? How do you figure? Not really. More like retcon and contradict it.
Not really, and DMC1 and 3 are the ones I've played the most. Not really. More like retcon and contradict it.

Don't just link to another thread, lay out your reasoning here.
I suppose it's possible, but Dante never seems to act as though he could be Nero's father in the game. I mean there's a reason people call him "Uncle Dante" - Because that's what he acted like. The crazy uncle.I've stated on multiple occasions that Nero is just as likely to be Dante's son as Vergil's. I doubt, however, that Dante has knowningly abandoned his son, despite his cocky attitude and dangerous lifestyle. It's more likely that he's illegitimate, and that's why no one ever heard of him until investigating the Order.
Sure, it sounds crazy, but there's just as much evidence for it if you discount the thematic elements of Nero's devil trigger (blue, arm sheath) and his arm's apparent desire for power.
Yeah I've looked it over, and to me, there is nothing that makes DMC3 a contradiction to DMC1.. I'd go into detail, but this isn't the thread for that.Laying out my reasoning here would make linking to another thread redundant. And I thought linking to that thread would be the best way to explain Chancey's post.
That's atrocious.A closer look at the face model.
That's atrocious.
Damn who would've thought 18 pages later and people are still coming up with theories and ideas as to what's going to happen in the Special Edition. Don't get me wrong I love it but boy has it become the most discussed topic, and it's trumped the discussions going on at the Definitive Edition thread...imagine what it'll be like when the game officially makes it trailer debut?
The modder did what he could. He took the hair from DMC3 and put it on Nero's face.
Doesn't mean I'm going to pretend it looks good. Good on him for trying but...no.
Actually I do look at faces and things when playing games. It's one of the nip picks I do as an artist. I look at every texture, every buckle, and every stitch in a character's design and outfit. One of the reasons I can't stand the Neo Dante costume is because of how naked it looks. It makes Dante look so skinny then what he really is. And even though I like the classic costumes of DMC1 and DMC3.....THE HAIR on those costumes is too distracting at times. However, in gameplay you don't look at the face anyway (and you can choose if you wanna install the mod only for gameplay or for cutscenes too), and the work on the coat and the outfit is actually pretty good. That I like, and imagine what Vergil's model would look like with MT Framework...
Oh he certainly would. Survival of the fittest is his rule #1. What doesn't kill you makes you a devil I guess. If he was Dante's son...would he stab his kid with rebellion to teach him how to devil trigger?
