He says he's running out of time when he takes Nero's arm. I doubt an empty, soulless shell would have worry in its repertoire of emotions. I doubt it would have any emotions at all, actually.
A sudden realization, and I hope it's not true - V is a piece of Vergil's soul or some junk, that was found and raised by the Goldsteins; the Vergil that takes Nero's arm is just an emptied other piece or something.
if that's the case I rather he be a witch that just happened to find a piece of Vergil's soul. That way he can still have his powers and still have a role to play after Vergil's soul leaves him.
Boys, this thread is not about speculation, its purpose is to gather factual information and media regarding the game for ease of access. Derailing it with things like our hopes or expectations defeats said purpose, there are other threads dedicated to those topics, or you can always make a new one.
DMC has force edge, Alastor, Sparta and Ifrit. Ebony&ivory, shotgun, nightmare beta and grenadegun.
DMC2 has rebellin and other swords. E&I and new machineguns
DMC3 has rebellion, Cerberus, Agni&rudra Nevan and Beowulf. E&I, shotgun, Artemis, spiral and Kalina Ann.
DMC4 had rebellion, Gilgamesh and lucifer. E&I, coyote and pandora.
In most games you you get 2 swords (except 4 unless you count Yamato style) Shotgun, explosive guns and gauntlets (except 2).
More spoilers from another 'leak' which are unconfirmed, so, grain of salt and all that jazz.
>There are three scenarios, one for each character with ten missions each. You can play them in any order, but Nero's is the first chronologically. Once you complete them all, you'll unlock the endgame scenario in which you play as all three in different missions.
>Vergil isn't playable in the base game, but Nero does get to use Yamato later on. Vergil will probably get a DLC expansion similar to what was done in DmC.
>"V" gives a different answer for his name each time he's asked what it stands for. He's a much more "vulnerable" character than the rest of the cast. He was an orphan adopted by Nico's family, and at a young age he discovered that he had a spiritual connection with the demon world. His tattoos are identical to Nico's as a symbol of appreciation for her raising him.
>"V" uses a magic staff or baton to summon monsters, and his different "weapons" are different classes of monsters such as demons, ghosts and angels that he recruits after defeating them in a boss fight.
>The way each character saves and upgrades is different. Dante and "V" will encounter classic DMC statues, while Nero finds hot spots where he can contact Nico.
>A training room similar to the one from DmC will be included.
>Alternate costumes make a return. Nero uses his appearance from DMC4, Dante's is completely original.
>If you hate Devil Trigger, then don't worry because Dante's battle theme is the typical Shootie HG fare. "V" has an orchestra rock styled theme.
>Here's the way dynamic music works. When you begin a battle, the song is an instrumental, and the lyrics will kick in once you raise your style ranking, followed by the chorus when you raise it even higher. At the higher rankings, the bass and instrumentation will be enhanced, at at SSS you can hear new parts of the song that aren't present normally, such as a solo or extra vocalizations. For example, the synth riff you hear in the full version of Devil Trigger.
I have more but they're, like, really, really, huge. The way people reacted to being spoiled I'm not sure I want to submit them to these.

It does rather sound like the gameplay structure for Sonic '06, but time will only tell if they will be lazy like '06 and have characters visit the same areas in their campaigns.
DLC huh? Hopefully it isn't super essential that leaves you asking why it isn't in the base game to begin with. :bored:
A "Spiritual connection to the demon world" huh? That still feels a bit random no matter how you slice it. I have a sneaky suspicion they might be pulling a Soma Cruz and have him be the reincarnation of Sparda or something.
I'm definitely gonna have to see this "summoning mechanic" before I can judge it. It sounds quite far removed from the series typical "stylish action" that it's known for. Also "Ghosts and Angel"? I hope that doesn't just get swept under the rug since that's quite a thing to casually drop.
Hmm...still not sure what to make of this game yet. :lock:
Is it just me that was expecting V to look like noctus (FFXV). From the leaks he looks like a goth character in a boy band and the description fits too. He has grow on me a little though.
Every bit I posted got posted by someone else well after but you don't see me calling people on it... Well, except for TWOxACROSS, but that dude don't count.
Hopefully this time they allow dual English and Japanese audio for US and PAL regions. That crap was horrendous when they didn't allow it for DMC4SE and you had to buy the Asia version. Its absolutely ****ed me off (yeah its a minute issue but I hate the fact they would remove content for a game based on region).
I don't know why Capcom would think Western audiences would hate the option to play the game in Japanese (or other languages). Playing the game in other langauges in my opinion helps gives more replay value.
I disagree. I think it's a big issue and for a lot of people a deal make or break situation. I've made and spiked purchases based on whether or not something had a Latino dub or not. It's a thing.
Anyway, don't forget that TGS is not actually in 2 days but rather tomorrow since it's currently the 19th in Tokyo.
Here's a hint as to how it is.
If it's noon at Tokyo then it's:
New York: 11 PM, previous day
CDMX: 10 PM " "
LA: 8 PM " "
London: 4 AM, same day
Cairo: 5 AM, " "
Hong Kong: 11 AM, " "
Show floor opens at 9:30 AM so we can look forward to something in around 24 hours.

I confirm, being French (hence my odd English), I can say that a VF (French Version) using over part of the cast of the animated serie would have undoubtedly prompted people to play or replay at DMC4.
PS: There was a not very official way to put the game in Japanese without having to buy an Asian version, I use it and it's true that it renews the gaming experience, notament reinforcing its very refreshing Manga side.
