I just woke up, came to this thread.
What happened while I was gone?
Mornin'!
Um... no shoes, not shirt, no service? ^_^That's where it's at now.

Anecdotally, I did see a bad mouthed customer escorted out of a store last week. She was demanding £700 from the till, even though the shop manager ket saying it was store policy not to keep that much money in the till. So the lady threatened to break things in the store and got all shouty. What a moron. Just a guttersnipe causing a scene. ;)

But that applies to everyone anywhere anyway. I don't know about you but I check out who I buy things from to see if I'm not being shafted.

That's right. It applies to everyone, everywhere. Which means people shouldn't badmouth a game company either, if they can't do it face-to-face at a physical brick-and-mortar store to begin with.

Of course they shouldn't. I never said they should. But people do expect companies and professional bodies to be above acting like 'just anybody'. There is a term 'professional standard' that includes matters of decorum.

Yes. Both sides have to meet halfway in order for a friendly-mannered exchange to take place.

once again, you shouldn't associate game developers with being completely professional in presenting their project, pretty convenient that you suddenly have a family full of developers at this point, and yet don't know what you're talking about

You didn't have to add the "don't know what you're talking about" part. I just managed to get him out of Hulk-mode.

Edit:

Although I will admit that it is rather convenient that he has family in the business.

Maybe he really is Japanese (ack, sorry -- couldn't resist)

Anyway, if he is, would that like, make him the evil version of crush?

Sorry, crush. :(

You're the new fish here, not me. I've posted long ago on this forum about my family's ties in the gaming industry, it's not 'suddenly convenient', it's your ignorance of the fact.
