DmC's cons and fails

I'm pretty sure people would do a Lock-on mod for the PC version.
I don't think that's possible, but we will see.
@Chaser, well yeah... there's only 1 pause combo for each weapon, compare that to previous games...
Also there's no Twosome Time, seriously, underused move potential.

How is that not possible? Resident evil 4 which doesn't have a mouse support and a lock-on button was able to modded to have one in the PC Version. Or what about Dark Souls? The PC port sucks yet because of some modder, people were able to have play it better.

...like the last two...

Not sure I could see twosome time working with this game engine or the current gun mechanics, but I could easily see this game fitting in honeycomb fire. Do feel like "gunslinger" wasn't all that represented here.

Well, you had Rainstorm and Fireworks. That's about it though.

For all the mystery around it, Kablooey was horrendously disappoint. I know I'm missing the real use of it, but I can get a similar effect with shotgun's charge shot and I don't have to worry about clumsily trying to detonate it in the middle of battle. You can't help but think about Lucifer when you use it, and then your smile sinks.

There's multiple pause combos for Lucifer in DMC4.

And in DMC3, I believe Agni/Rudra had more than one pause combo while Nevan had a separate attack when you tilted the control stick.

I knew someone would mention those select few weapons in an attempt to save those games from my point, while DmC gives you access to 5 at your choice. And gives 3 of them another combo in the air. And lets you mix and match combos.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they had more pause combos, I agree, but let's not start acting like this aspect of things is so different(worse) from the past games.

There's other things to rag on.

To be fair, the combat engine was a lot of trial and error, and no doubt, Capcom and NT will learn from what has worked and what didn't.

I wasn't trying to "save" DMC3/4 from your point. I was just stating that since you seemed to forgot about them. I never implyed that this made things worse when DmC has more pause combos in general.

And yeah, you have 5 weapons at once, but with less moves to work with for each individual weapon.

Let's see DMC3:
-Rebellion, 1 pause combo + 2 crazy combos
-Agni&Rudra, 2 pause combos + 2 crazy combos
-Beowulf, 1 pause combo + 2 crazy combos
-Cerberus, 1 pause combo + 2 crazy combos
-Do I need to mention Nevan, the most unique weapon in the series?

DMC4:
-Gilgamesh has more options than Eryx
-Lucifer, 4 pause combos + works as a better Kaboomhey
-Pandora, where's Kaboomhey again? Inferior much
-Red Queen, 3 pause combos + Exceed System = awesome

Not to mention the missing styles, the combat is dumbed down as hell.

Yeah Main gripe red and blue enemies if anything just indicate that you can open an enemy up with a certain attacks but dont Penalize for using a different weapon.... God so many times I was crowd controlling and just generally destroying crap and a Red or Blue enemy just casually walks into my slaughter house and just destroy my flow..... Way to blow my high

I have some things in my mind, but the worse that need to be taken care of urgently are color coded enemies, 30fps on consoles, the general speed of the combat and the horrible boss fights.

Lock-on is also needed, but they'd have to remake the whole control scheme for it to work.

I'd be fine with an Angel Teleport (Angel Evade really doesn't cut it).
