Dante and Raiden... DmC and MGR... Why choose?

Raiden cartwheeling naked was definitely strange but that whole game was strange. It really showed us how wacky the world of Metal Gear Solid can get. Tossing out words we never heard before like La Li Lu Le Lo and even a vampire it was one big wtf after another. Actually fans knew to an extent a character like Raiden was there but we're talking about this pretty boy looking dude who comes in after only the first mission in the game to be stuck playing as him for the rest of it. The demo had really no indication of such a dramatic move because demos usually came with other games on a seperate disc back in the day. The first Devil May Cry game had a demo that came with my Resident Evil Code Veronica X I bought all those years ago. The demo made MGS 2 seem so freaking awesome but the final product was well, not what we were hoping for. The gameplay holds up and the improvements there gameplay wise was fantastic compared to the first but I don't think you'll get the true reaction we had to MGS 2 unless you played it back then.

Decisions like that don't happen in a vacum. It's a result of the times, kind a like a zeitgeist. I know this is a bad example, but look at the Batman films. They're taking themese from what happens in this world.

Well I might not jump to your level of interest pertaining to MGS, sure I don't care. I enjoyed the game for what the game is and that nothing changed about the characters. Everyone is still there, whether you have the cool characters or not.

I had a friend tell me his hair will be white by the end of the game and that would actually make sense because Vergil's hair is white. I think the reason why Vergil's is white was because he's been fighting this battle longer than Dante and has been more knowledgeable about his demon heritage so probably tapping into that power caused the drastic change in hair color. It makes sense.

I never thought Dante's one liners were funny, they were lame. If anything I laughed about how awful the dialogue was like especially Dante yelling "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with light!" in the the first game. That was hilariously bad. Don't try to act like it was purposely put to like he was some kind of parody because Capcom just doesn't know how to write. Vulgar? You heard Dante say the F word once and still haven't gotten over that? Why was that such an issue to begin with? I'm an adult and I swear plus this game is rated M for mature so to think that it has to be kid friendly is dumb. Seriously how old are you dude? I beat you swear and say all kinds of crap. Besides we're dealing with a world that is inhabited by demons from hell. Do you expect it to be freaking Candyland?

Got to agree if you buy a mature rated game, expect cursing, violence and sex.

I dont get that people will get that instead of that hack n slash game,I buy em all,I got every h&s game to grace the PS2 and 3.I do get that some dont have cash to get both games.I tried to download MGR via jp psn,but I couldnt play it because I wasnt in japan,it has worked with every other demo earlyer,but not this 1.I have played DmC prolly like 50-70 times now for fun and I really like,but MGR demo arent coming out I think on eu psn,and I havent played any MGS title nor the demo,I dont want any stealth hack n slash game,I wanna be able to chain combos together that looks awesome.

is mgr any like stealth hack n slash where you need to go forward as in MGS universe or do you play as any other hack n slash game in MGR,im not buying it if it doesnt have good combat.

Just What i told on other similiar threads mine toughs about these two games are that I like them both. DmC for mine favourite Dark/Urban Fantasy theme and that satisfaction in tearing demons into pieces that vulgar words in this game not makes me worried, I used some of them in mine early teenagehood of ten in school, and MGR Revengeance are liked for that cyberpunk feeling this game have, its for me justlike DmC but without demons, here are other also good enemies in it. Thats why Im buing them in their release dates.

The narrative to me seems like a typical American blockbuster (I know plat are Japanese company) with the normal military gargle but the boss confrontation is well written! DmC's narrative has been kept under wraps so you wouldn't know much about it.

I would think a lot of the MGR fans are DmC rejecters as it is almost nothing like MGS so why would the average stealth gamer like it?

To be clear I like MGR but its fanboys/girls are almost definitely Bayo fans and generally don't like DmC.
